I was just curious how you would compare these balls.
Jeff Carter did a good explanation on the vortex series.
I wanted to know your opinions between the two.
Thanks in Advance.

The Stinger is a strong ball but is more skid/snap than a vortex 2. It will go longer on most patterns and make an abrupt turn when it hits the dry. It doesn't like heavy oil the way that the V2 does. Oil at the breakpoint makes it go to long leaving 10 pins. The V2 is more of an arc ball and has an earlier breakpoint. It also handles longer patterns and carrydown better than the Stinger. Both are useable on the mediums. Both handle drier lanes ok polished with weaker drillings. You will do much better on oil with a V2.

I would have to agree with that. The core shape allows the stinger to be cleaner up front and store more energy for the backend. This ball is very comparable to the Tidal Wave Wipeout. With a strong drilling this ball can be very strong in the back.

I think the Black stinger solid is more reactive on the backend. More hockey stick shape than the V2 solid.
It gets through the heads better as well.
with some carry down the Stinger will squirt unless you drill it to arc like a 5 x 3.
The stinger lopes more where the V2 revs.
Both are great balls it just depends what condition and style you have that would work best.
