Where are they?
« on: October 15, 2008, 10:30:00 AM »
Ok, I’ve made videos, put up a website and been posting information in forums and I have yet to hear any sort of response from Ebonite, Columbia 300, Track or Hammer. No letter like, “Dear Mr. Jenkins, it has come to our attention blah, blah blah.” No Cease & Desist orders from their high powered lawyers. Nothing. Why? Because they can’t touch me. Everything I’ve said is the truth. Their products and equipment are ruining bowling. Go to my website and see for yourself.

Dale. These are businesses and they are trying to make money. As long as the consumer is willing to shell out $140 for a high end ball, the ball makers are going to keep making these very agressive bowling balls. And guess what, they're just going to get more and more agressive until someone puts a stop to it and that person is YOU. That's right Dale. You and only you can stop it. It's going to take a lot of time and effort. You may have to quit your day job if this really means that much to you.

You'll have to write endless letter's, set up pickets in front of Ebonite, Storm, Track and Brunswick factories (you may need a visa for Brunswick). You'll have to go to the new USBC headquaters in Texas and meet with the big wigs there to plead your case. While there you can check out all the old non aggressive balls in the new museum.

We are all behind you Dale here at BR. You say what we all think but we are all too timid to take on this mighty task. Good luck Dale and we'll be rooting for you to succeed, and bring back the type of bowling we can only see on ESPN Classic. And most important, more videos that we can watch.

Maine, I don't think Dale is a troll. He has a very strong bowling related issue that does effect the game. I wouldn't place him in the same category as BrunsNigger or cloud sheets and most recently BowlerX who just would come on here and spam the site with crap.

I like the fact that he screams how Ebo Intl is ruining bowling when he uses an Ebo ball, and a Turbo no less.  Urethane shell, bulb core that thing will react on the proper lane conditions as well.  Dale, can you answer that question for me?  Is that an Ebonite Turbo Black?  That thing's made for heavy oil conditions, no less.  Maine, I agree with HogsHarley, I don't think he's a troll.  His website and youtube videos are too demented for this to be a joke.  This guy has some serious issues regarding the new hi-performance equipment that out there.  Personally, I think he just couldn't adjust to the new stuff so he's bashing it and the companies that sells them.  And by the way, Dale, what are doing with a Psycho and a Momentum Swing in those videos, since you're hating them so much?  You drill those too and talk about how you bowled "with your heart and skill"?

Why are some of you still taking him seriously and trying to rationalize?  You're more retarded than he is.  At least he's somewhat humorous.

Hogsharley,

If he isn't a troll, then he is just a disturbed individual that has a lackluster sense of humor, at best.  However you look at it, this man needs serious help.

Dale has an opinion, and I guess, he is entitled to it.  I don't think I am/was far from seeing his point, but he just goes too far for me.

Not Ebonite, but technology in general, is what he is talking about. Why he has focused his energies in the direction of Ebonite Industries has me a little dumbfounded.  If they were the ONLY ONES doing these things, it might be different, but they aren't. ALL the manufacturers are taking advantage of the rules and specs, using modern technology and materials to create balls with capabilities nobody even thought possible just 10-15 years ago.

Dale, while I agree with some of your point in principle, I also think that we must accept that the game has changed forever and will never return to its "heyday".  Life has a funny thing called survival of the fittest where you either have to accept and adapt or get left behind and die.

I, myself, have chosen to accept and adapt.  They may be ruining bowling for you, but they have "fixed" it for countless others and, in this society, majority rules my friend.   Que sera, sera .

That was brilliant, Ebonite International.

Two thumbs up for whoever came up with this in marketing.
