I'm looking at the GB-2 Gold and the GB-2 MVP to replace a ball that I just can't make work (Track Mx05). Want something to use when the lanes breakdown that will have good length and a strong back-end. I don't expect to use it when the lanes are oily as I have a couple of balls for that condition. Also don't expect to use it when the lanes are really dry. Just when the lanes breakdown and force a huge move to the left.
I'm leaning towards the MVP but my local pro shop has the Gold on sale so I would consider it also.
For those who are familiar with both, I could really use some advice.
Thanks.

I think the Gold is a better ball and fits more of what you're looking for in terms of reaction. Jump on the sale.

The gold was a hit or miss piece with alot of bowlers
love it or hate it
for me, I didn't like it at all
I may have had a longer pin on it than I should have (for that cover strength)
and I love the GB2 solid and the new Phenom Pearl
they are only 115 bucks new, get the one you want

That really depends on your pro shop. Prices vary quite a bit around my area.
For what it's worth from what I've seen and heard the MVP was hit or miss with a lot of bowlers too, but still trending more towards hit than miss.

Didnt hear that as much
the proven winners of the GB2 series
Original
GB2 solid
GB2 phenom
GB2 phenom Pearl - strongest cover on a GB2 to date, its a little over/under for me at the moment, I need to re-work the cover a bit and I'm sure it will be fine for me
Bolwersmart has them for 115 all day long + free shipping
