Ball NPS Score: Not Available
Building on the success of the R series, Elite has taken our technology of bowling balls to the next level. Elite is proud to introduce - The Alien! The Alien combines our new Atomic Core with our innovative Eclipse Cover featuring T.C.T. What is T.C.T.? Thermal Contact Technology allows the ball to read the proper amount of friction on the lane and in the oil pattern, eliminating the dreaded "over/under" ball reaction. The end result, more forgiveness! Elite believes that ball reaction is largely based on the Cover of all performance balls. The Core is a major factor in the balls movement, but the Cover is the only part of the ball that comes in contact with the lane. That''s why Elite performance balls utilize proven core technology (RG and Differentials) and apply unbelievable covers. Elite''s next generation of Covers are now here and available. We are excited to offer our customers more forgiveness.

Weight Block: Atomic Core
Cover Stock: Eclipse featuring T.C.T. (Reactive)
Color: Alien Green with Gold Pin and Engraving

Ok, quick review:

Pin halfway drilled through with the ring finger, x-hole inside of the VAL.  Brunswick synthetics, 42ft house shot(oiled to 34, 8 foot buff, very sharp backends).

This particular house gives me trouble when they're fresh because it's literally an Exxon Valdez flood up front, with backends and outside of 7 being as dry as the sahara desert.  Usually I catch over under for my first 10-12 shots until we start breaking them down a little.

Compared to my other equipment, I don't really notice anything spectacular out of the Alien.  It reminds me alot of the Classic Zone.  It does give the read of Activator coverstock.  It blended the transition from wet-dry while swinging the lane better than some of my other balls(Sahara, Rebound), and it did give a nice hard arc which I like, I'm not too fond of flippier equipment.  I was 3-4 boards right with the Alien compared to my Absolute to get it back to the pocket.  It gave me 5 inches of flare in the oil and with this much flare early, it made the ball very smooth in the back.  Carry.....I don't even think that's relevant to talk about, every ball finishes well nowadays when you get it in the pocket.

To me this was just another ball that on a house shot gives you the same result as everything else, stand left, throw right, miss either which way and still pound the hole.  I just didn't notice anything different for me to say this ball is better than ball-x or this ball is worse than ball-x.  The Elite Alien is very readable I'd say and you can tell that the cover is an activator derivative from the way it makes it's move from the wet to the dry and back.  This is more of a control ball for me and will probaly be more of a first ball out of the bag for me just to play the track with.

I was having difficulty with too much over/under on my local house condition. 43' flood in the middle, bone 5-10, and oil outside of 5.

At the suggestion of Gary at Elite I drilled my Alien with a 4x3 layout which pu the pin above and slightly to the right of my ring finger, and the cg on my grip line swung out to the right. I put a 1" hole, 2" deep 2" past my pap on the VAL. Left the surface box finish.

This reaction was exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks Gary!

This is my review of the Alien... I am cranker/tweener with med ball speed...
This is a pearl ball and my Alien had a 2 inch pin, 3+ top weight. I placed my ring finger just under the pin kicking it off the cg leaving me much finger weight.
I tried the ball without getting it legal just to see what it would to. Also before I threw it I sanded it up to 2000 and then shined it with some Black Magic. This ball would skid flip not giving me a consistant hook and not hitting very hard either.
I finally put a weight hole in it just slightly to the right of my fingers and up... I then weight it and it had 7/8 oz. finger weight and 1/4 oz. negative side in it. The best way to do this was to just drill the fingers deeper and I was just to lazy to have to put grips in it once again.

After getting this ball legal this ball was surely amazing! I will say the way I have mine drilled it wont work on heavy oil as some of the others like the shark but if you get some strong backeneds this ball will surely shoot big numbers! This ball is very versative because I have seen a couple others drill theirs stronger and they work just amazing on oil.

Remember, some of you guys see this ball as being dull and dont realize its a pearl ball especially from seeing the tv shots of it. But I think this ball fits all styles! I just wouldnt recommend this layout unless ones got some hand in it... Another very awsome ball from Elite and I cant wait to see another version of the Alien. For some of you guys saying durn I dont want  to pay 300 dollars for a ball but you will be glad you did!!! Performance is what you buy in a bowling ball and Elite is based on PURE 100% PERFORMANCE! Don't need to say too much. Just that: Alien is the Ultimate Ball! Surely the best ball I have ever played with, and I do have tried plenty, especially during the last 20 years. I respect those who might wont understand a great difference among the Alien and other A-Class balls, but I would dare to say that this is due to their style and not the ball. I paid nearly $350 for the Elite Alien and I could have paid more, if I knew what this ball would be like. I don't think I'll ever change that ball, and if I will, it'll probably just be to buy a new Elite Alien, after this one will grow old and tired.

This ball is first out of the bag. With the versital cover this ball is good for  medium to wet conditions. Extremely predictable smooth even roll that hits with power. I've thrown many balls and this one is my all time favorate.

Just rolled this ball for the first time tonight in league play, drilled full roller.  Lanes were typical for this house, very slick synthetic lanes.  This ball was awesome.  I have been struggling in this house with my "Action Max", there was no struggle tonight.  Throw it out and it will come back, "Screaming" back & hits like a truck.

Hi All,
I just got this one drilled after i watched one rolled.  I had mine drilled with the RICO layout as it had a 2 inch pin and 2.6oz top wieght.  I first rolled it without and x hole and it rolled over the thumb hole every time I took it back and had the x hole drilled and what a difference.  I have kept the ball in its box surface and have only rolled one series with it in practice. I shot a so-so 631 but I am still learning the ball. So far I like how it rolls, reacts, and carries.....Ill know more after my sunday night league.

                                  Thanx,

let me start out by saying i am a new member and this is my first review, i also have just started bowling again after a 12 year absence. i needed some new equipment so i purchased a brunswick fury and a elite green alien ( defective, color problem ) i am a right handed med. speed, med. rev. stroker the alien came with a 1" pin and 3 oz. top weight. the pin is placed 2" directly below the ring finger and the cg. is swung to the left a little in the center of my span, no side weight. i have used this ball on both synthetic ths and wood ths. my average is 181 and i had never rolled a 600 series until the alien came along. first night out on the wood lanes shot 637, these lanes tend to dry out by the end of the first game and the fury was just way too much. but with the alien all i did was move left a few boards over the set and that kept me in the pocket. with my style of delivery this ball starts a very controlled shallow arc in the midlane which gets much more pronounced as it reaches the dry and culminates in a very strong back-end, with very very good pin carry. i did this standing right foot at 20 and throwing out 10 at the arrows to a break point of 4 or 5. for what i paid for the alien ( about the same as my fury ) it was truly a bargain and i would pay more, i highly recomend this ball.

Super Aggressive 1st ball I shot 300 with

High revs/high speed

ONLY USE THIS BALL ON HEAVY OIL

My Elite Alien was drilled 4 1/2" from pap. This ball is very aggressive and needs oil to perform. Out of box coverstock was a little too much for me since our area houses don't flood the lanes so I put some Elite polish on it and the ball gave me great reaction and super hitting power. Ball is very readale and consistant in its move to the pocket and hits the pins harder than any ball I have. after 20 games or so ball starts to go longer as all balls do but doesn't lose any hitting power which is awesome. Great ball Elite. Would love to get my hands on a Shark from Elite.

I have had the Elite Alien for quite some time and do not get that much use out of it.  I am a tweener but find that I can't use this ball on any of the typical house shots around my area.  The ball is drilled with the Jupiter drilling.  I was looking for something super agressive and I bought this ball before I bought my Shark.  I am not disappointed with the purchase of this ball but not overjoyed either.  It has filled a gap in my arsenal and has served me well in a few tournaments but I don't seem to get the carry with the Alien.  I have found that on some long oil conditions with carry down I am able to throw a down and in shot with a consistant break point when I have not been able to find a consistent shot with anything else.
