I was extremely excited to drill the Echo. Medium strength symmetrical balls are always my favorites. Seeing as though that's exactly what this ball is, I could hardly wait to put holes in this thing.

On the fresh 38' house shot that I first threw these balls on, I was extremely impressed. The pin down one was very smooth and predictable, while the pin up one went a bit longer and had a more defined movement on the back. Both had absolutely 0 trouble clearing the fronts. As has been the case with every Elite ball I've thrown, this thing hits like a tank. I lost count of how many times I snapped out tens and tripped fours. It reminds me a lot of the balls in the Road series by Storm. Those balls have been favorites of many people in the past, so if you want something similar the Echo is your ball.

I think Elite has a real winner in the Echo. For a pearl ball to have such a smooth transition from midlane to backend, all while retaining a strong and clean reaction is something everyone wants to see in a ball. Don't be afraid to give Elite a chance. If you do, I can assure that you won't be disappointed with the Echo.

COMMENTS
Ball really gets down the lane with ease and has a really nice move at the break point! I was really surprise at how well this ball rolled, read the lanes, and carried! I used a similar layout to my Espionage and I wanted a ball to transition to when the lanes started to breakdown! Instead of moving deeper with the Espionage, I wanted to just change to the Echo and not miss a beat! I have let several of our league bowlers use this and the Espionage and they are really impressed with the reaction, control and hitting power! Wow, was I ever mistaking when I didn't want to try an Elite ball! This company is one of the biggest sleepers in the bowling business! Even if you're loyal to USA only made bowling balls, they have a lot of equipment made at the 900 Global plant! Just my $.02, Bruce

Likes: Everything! What's not to like about a ball that rolls this good!!!

Dislikes: None as long as you use it for what it's intended for!!

My PAP is 4 3/16 right and 3/4 up

My echo came in with a 3-4 inch pin. After some consideration I put a 4x3 on my Echo (pin over ring finger, Cg kicked out.) This balls gets through the heads with no problem, The ball stores alot of energy for the back end where you can see the ball rev up and change directions off the friction with alot of force. I really like the reaction that this ball gives me on medium oil patterns. Its effortless length with strong movement at the breakpoint is great for getting the corners out.I like the way this is a ball takes surface adjustments, I can put a little surface on the ball and still know that i am going to get the length that i need but a smoother transaction off of the friction. When i polish this ball it gives me some extreme angle that can be head turning and pin shattering.

Got the ECHO drilled up. This ball not only LOOKS great, but the performance is just as good as the looks promise it to be.

My pap is 4 1/8> 1/2^, and I drilled the ECHO 5 X 4 with the pin up (which gives it a smaller VAL angle). Actually ended up with about a 40(VAL angle) X 5(pin to pap) X 60(drilling angle) for those who prefer the dual angle measurements.

The first thing I want to say is CLEAN. This ball is very clean through the fronts, with little sign of checking up early. At the factory finish, which is very bright/shiny, getting the ball through the fronts presented little problem, even when the heads began to dry after a couple of games.

The ECHO, with this longer pin to pap drilling and lower val angle, reads the breakpoint pretty hard. Time after time, I watched it as it smoothly floated through the fronts, yet was still aggressive enough at the breakpoint to not "blow through" it, but read it very well. Ball turned the corner well, and was PLENTY strong off the turn. Several times I was wondering if it would make it back, but that wondering soon came to an end. I found I could trust this ball to continually make the turn AND hit well.

Not many corner pins left with this one. Left 3 tenpins all night, and one was with the ESPIONAGE (which I will also review). Had more messenger strikes than I've had in a while, and the ball seemed to move the pins around low with good mixing action.

All in all, if you are looking for a GREAT looking ball that clears the fronts well, reads the breakpoint on a THS, turns the corner pretty hard, and moves the pins around in a way that seems to help the carry, I believe the ECHO would make a really good addition to anyones arsenal.
