How is it they can ask 289 on a ball that is no better than any other ball i mean you can get a magic or any other companys high end equipment for 143 and they are doubling the price and what i have seen the equipment dosnt last any longer and really dosnt hook any more. Please if anybody can justify why the new red alien  is worth the 289 price tag please do. I had a chance to throw the other aliens and they where nothing special same with the rest of the pba over priced balls. So please to the rest of my fellow br members would love to hear your insight into what i believe is price gouging.

You really can't call it price gouging because you have other options available.

Elite is simply using a common pricing strategy designed to create the illusion of a superior product.  Several golf manufacturers have used this strategy successfully.  Unfortunately it has been a failed strategy for Elite.  But they're working their way around it without cutting their prices.  First they offered any other company's top end ball "free" with the purchase of either an Alien or Blue Alien.  Now they're doing a "buy one, get one free" strategy for the Red Alien.  This allows them to keep the $289 price tag on the ball, when in all actuality they're selling the Red Alien for $144.50.

You get TWO balls for the 289 so in all reality it is not that much higher. Also its gimmicky sales strategy I do like the idea I can take the ball try it and if I dont like I can trade it in to them and get me a normal ball(elites way of getting you to use the ball and hope one person trys it and likes it.
