I am new to Elite products. After reading some of the ball reviews, I think I need to get an Elite Alien. I have been out of the game for ten years and just got back in this league season. My equipment is all the old Columbia fish balls. I mostly throw the Cuda ceramic core. I like the way it goes long and crashes into the pocke
www.CornerBowlingShop.com but you have to be accurate. I am trying to get as accurate as possible for the national tournament next year and I was thinking I should ask bowlers for their opinions on new equipment for the weekly league shot and for the national shot. I would appreciate all comments.

I have owned a couple Elites in the past, the Black Label and the Cheetah. Not really a popular brand for people to post here, but I think their stuff is pretty good. (See my post on the Black Label). You will find a lot of guys bash Elite for being over priced, but my gut tells me a lot of guys like them too.
That being said, I just picked up a Black Alien, but have not punched it out yet. I am rev challenged, and am looking for something outrageous I can at least have in the bag for heavy tournament patterns, etc. I am getting it drilled tomorrow night, and hope to try it out (maybe at least for the first game) on league night Wednesday.
I will try to post once I have had a chance to throw it a little.

I own a Blue Alien and absolutly LOVE this ball!!! My three high games (300,299x2) have been with the Blue Alien. I do not use it OOB though, way to strong for me. I have mine polished then hit with either 1000 or 2000 abralon, lately its been 1000 and then it self polish. It is very durable and very very smooth. This is the only Elite ball i've thrown because of the price. I would very much love to throw their other equipment, but the higher cost of the balls keeps me from affording them. I can play 4/5 arrow with it, track area or play 25 with the feet 13 at the arrows 5 at the break. This has been my money line with the ball. Threw my second 299 tonight on that line 2nd game, 3rd game I was hitting the pocket still but lost the carry, which happens fast in the house i bowl at.

It is nice to hear that Elite equipment is good. I know their equiupment may be a little pricey but only on their top end ball series. If the Red Alien is the best ball ever produced as they claim, then it is worth the money. I have been practicing on the national tournament shot. I had forgotten how slick it really is. Outside the 10 board--forget it. I think the Red Alien may allow a little forgiveness. If any Elite product thrower has gone to the tournament this year I would appreciate comments on this year's conditions and how their equipment held up. My problem is accuracy. I will throw several really good shots and then miss my mark by 5 boards!! How frustrating is that? Looking forward to hearing from all the "experts".
