Just got out my old Black Hammer 2001, after having some issues with trying to keep my speed down, since the 2001 is one of the last 16 lbers I have, and wanted to see if it helped with my speed any. Dulled it with a 1000 Abralon pad before I threw it, and have used it in two different houses now with great results. The scores haven't been fantastic, (averaging mid 210's with it), but the early, powerful roll is perfect for my game, and where I like to play the lane. Scores would be a bit higher, but not used to having to move in a couple boards from where I'm usually at. Thinking now, having a 16 that hooks like this does, might be a spot well used in my bag. Don't seem to be having much trouble adjusting between the 15 and 16 weights.

Too weird! I too took my 16lb Black Hammer 2001 out for a "spin" for leagues. Only got 2 games in before I had to switch it out with my Big Rig. For 2 games though it was a total-control-arcing beauty! While everyone else was battling over/under with the latest hook monsters, my B2K1 was rocking the pocket! Light hits were sending messengers everywhere and high flush shots were equally effective. Might have slowed down the ball speed just a tad the second game, maybe because this is my last 16lber in the arsenal. Very impressed overall! Now I remember why I hung onto this gem. If you have one tucked away in the back of your closet, do yourself a favor and toss it again. Long live Faball!!!
