Title: FABALL NAVY BLUE REACTIVE HAMMER
Post by: docs67 on March 03, 2004, 08:29:38 AM
I recently won this ball on ebay from bowlingball.com listings. I have tried to find out about the specs on this ball from various websites and struck out - no pun intended!!!!

Has anyone ever used this ball or drilled it for someone?  If so, what is recommended for a down and in style bowler?  I don't get as many revs on the ball as I once did but can still get it going.  I am looking to have a hockey stick line with it - if possible.  Pin is 2-3" and top weight is about 3-4lbs.
Any help at all is much appreciated....it is 16lbs.

Thanks,
Dave

I wonder if we bid against each other at some point.  I won a Navy reactive about 2 weeks ago.  Had it drilled up last Friday.  I have been unable to throw any of the new reactive stuff.  It all just hooks too much.  I was hoping that this ball would be more tame.  The Pin was only 1" and it is drilled almost striaght up.  The ball still takes off.  I am sorry I can't enlighten you any more on the ball.  Even though my games have been 133, 150, 132, 205 so far, I am going to keep trying.

My current league average is 199 and I bowl with an the Blue Pearl hammer from the 1980's.  Just bowled 656 the other night with the Blue Pearl.

Let me know how yours does.

doc67,

Try this link to check out the ball. http://bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=283 . As far as the ball itself, it was a milder reactive (by todays standards) with the original hammer core. The current blade series utilizes this same core today with a few variations.
