Title: New Widow Pearl?

Can anyone tell me how soon I can get my hands on the Widow Pearl?
I know it exists, I saw this ball on the shelf during the recent Modern Marvels show on "Balls". I heard this will not be available until after this season? That doesn't make sense except to help them to sell other current products before the release of the Pearl.
