i have deleted my pm's from him with his info and thought i had thrown away the box the ball was sent in. BUT...
i found the box in my recycle. thank god i'm too lazy to take the recycle when i go to the dump!!! here is the address he used to ship it from:

he was new and seemed like an up and up guy, so i thought i would give him a chance ON ONE CONDITION... i wanted his phone number so i could call and talk to him... so he gave it to me...
he answered the phone within a few rings and sounded pretty professional. he sounded a bit younger than i expected, but it's really hard to tell much from that... anyway, i figured since i deleted the pm, i could find his number because i called using my cell... but the number has dropped off my recent call list. i am going to check with my phone company tomorrow to see if they can get it for me because i DID talk to this douche rocket and i know he exists whether his name is jeff smith or what.
in terms of the ball he sent me, i thought you all would find this interesting... the ball was in good shape at first glance. by agreement, he sent it fully plugged. however, when my proshop dude went to drill it up, he found that there was still a slug and some tape left in the thumb hole and it was plugged over. it was a rigged job!!! now i have to go through and have it plugged again... i payed paypal and have also filed a complaint with them. i pm'd the guy and emailed but i have gotten no answer at all...
i'm really sorry for anybody else who got screwed by this dick, alot of you got screwed worse than me... at least my ball is usable after repair... sounds like you guys didn't even get your stuff. i feel really bad for posting a good seller review, but i did recieve my ball... and it looked like it was in good shape... i don't really know what to say. it's pretty f'd up. i hope some of this info helped and i will try to get a phone number from my cell company as soon as i can... good luck everyone.

I actually dove off the platform but somehow stopped in mid air.
His post last night about getting back from league after saying he would send tracking during day let me stop in mid air.
Until someone told me their tracking number and a weight which was NOT entered by seller but read by UPS.
Regarding Brookln Slop if he can come up with number he dialed in Michigan and reached guy then I think that would completely clear him. I"m fairly convinced he was an innocent dupe. I believe it is awesome of him to see what his phone company can provide. Also UPS often has a number for phone OR even on the box the phone number is included.
Is the motorcycle racer reached in Michigan not a bowler...it states he was a world Motocross champion. ....But not a bowler???

ups says that because the package was properly recieved by me, regardless of the condition, they are unable to persue anything in the matter, so not much help there.
i have gotten a couple PM's from people wanting to know the tracking number while i was out today... both my local authorities and ups have advised me not to give out the tracking number or any other personal information that i may know about this guy to ANYONE for ANY REASON. my local police have advised me that i, and whoever else has posted information about this guy, may already be guilty of LIBEL and may be subject to a civil suit by anyone who's information has been posted online, regardless of whether they are guilty or innocent of the crime in question.
having said that, my local police seem to be willing to get involved in this thing as much as they can. they have been in touch with the Wausau, WI police department and are investigating the matter. i gave the box to my local police and they are going to send it to the Wausau, WI police department to help them...
i have spent a good majority of my day trying to help you guys get your money back and get this guy caught. i don't really have much to gain from it, being that i recieved my stuff (even though the plugging was horrible). yet i STILL come home to find all this CRAP on here accusing me of being jeff smith and blah blah... i'm F**KING SICK OF IT ALREADY!!! i don't know what else i can do to prove my innocence, so i'm done trying... why should i even help you guys????? i'm starting to hate this forum... unbelieveable.

Gary Smith bowls at Dale's Weston Lanes about twice a week, maybe just maybe this guy has a son named Jeff stole his dads idenity of being a pba senior bowler and the other jeff smiths address and phone number. Most thugs are not too bright and would not use enough sense to eliminate all things around them.
I would get ahold of Gary Smith and see if any family members named jeff, it would not surprise me at all, so google Dale's weston lanes and leave a message for GAry to return your call.

WE need that tracking number.. How are you going to get in any trouble?? This guy has stolen over $1,000 of people's money here and we need that tracking number to have the guy that works at UPS track where the ball was shipped from.
The advice you are getting is crap.. NO way you can be held libel for giving out the tracking number as long as its not in a public forum.
I was believing you when you said you had nothing to do with all this but there should be no reason why you will not give out that tracking number to someone via a private message, no reason at all.. You are then not held accountabel for anything.. Its not posted in public..
