Point well taken... we are going to re-visit that issue if it persists.
I seem to have had a section where the glue DIDN'T stick very well, so we will discuss this with the tape supplier. I thank you for bringing the issue up and please accept my apology for this problem. It's a fine line between making it stay, and having it let go when you want it to.

I have removed the tape and all I did was wipe the thumb with acetone and that removed all the residue with no problem.

Well, my thumbhole isn't that large so I cannot get all the way down in there with acetone and a rag to get the glue out.  Why not use the type of glue from the black & white bowler's tape?

My thumbhole is small as well.. All you do is put some acetone on a small rag and use a screwdriver to push the rag down into the hole..

Sounds like fun when you're trying to make hole adjustments during league play or during tourneys.

Not a big deal to me. I carry a small bottle of acetone and towels in my bowling bag..

I would rather have the glue too strong than have it not strong enough..

jkiser01, I don't know about you but I don't have time to wrestle the tape out of the thumbhole, clean the hole with acetone, rag, and a screwdriver, adjust the size of the thumbhole with a different type of product (due to changes with the temp. and humidity) and be ready to bowl when it is my turn.  To each his own I guess.

Maybe you haven't seen the problem I have with the glue left behind from the slicktape.  It was a pain to remove the tape, and basically, all of the glue that was on the back of the tape to start with was now in my thumbhole.  I'm sorry, but I have never had to use a rag and acetone after removing the AMF black or white tape even after it had been left in a ball for months.

I won't be purchasing anymore of this product until I know it has been rectified.  In fact, I just added more reverse pitch and went up two sizes on my thumbhole, so I doubt I will be needing a product like this any longer.  A teammate of mine that also tried this product had the same problem when he tried to remove it.  I still think this is a nice idea but the industrial strength glue needs to go.

redbear - Nice idea.  Never thought of that, but the extra piece of tape would really make the thumbhole snugger than I would probably want.

flacoman - No big deal bro.  I don't feel like I was ripped-off.  Besides, as I stated earlier, I don't think I'll need to use tape any longer.  It served its purpose and I got my $1.50 worth.

I have not had the glue problem that you are talking about, very strange.. Did you leave the balls or tape in a hot car? Just wondering..

I have tried it on top of some white tape as well and by itself and not seen any problems at all..

I am also always making tape adjustments during a game and that doesn't bother me at all.. Like you said, to each his own..

I agree with Jim entirely. Now if only my order would arrive as I need to replace one piece that I messed up and have no replacement tape yet. Maybe it will arrive tomorrow.

Just made payment though pay pal for one package of 15 pieces. After reading several of the reviews I thought I need to give them a try.
