XXX for Sale or Trade
« on: February 24, 2004, 07:17:50 PM »
I have a XXX with 6 games on it for sale or trade (NIB).  The ball is 15# drilled at at 45 degree pattern, 4 6/16 x 4 7/16 to cut and weight hole is 4" from grip center.  I will sell for $140 including shipping, or will entertain any NIB trades and some cash either way, depends on the trade.

Yes, I just saw that.  But you put in drilling and shipping you might be close to $200.  If you are close to my span you might be getting a deal.  I'm always flexible on price.

At what price would you recommend, Ten?  I'm open to suggestions.

Is the middle finger span 4 6/16ths or 4 3/8ths?

Unless you find a buyer that it's "turnkey" for, it'll be tough to bring anywhere close to a c-note.

Well, if you notice, the title states, "For Sale or Trade"  This may be one of the cases where a trade would make more sense and be more agreeable to both sides... although its hard to trade a used ball for a NIB one :-)

The title says "XXX For Sale or Trade" not "Be a jerk and jump down my throat for asking $140"

The span isn't that uncommon... it's actually the same as mine(I also just bought a ball from Badger for a great price).  And like Strapper said... he could make a trade too and is definately open to offers and suggestions.  The guy split shipping cost with me on the ball I bought from him, not many would do that.

I should have more precise with the trade part.  I would entertain all sorts of trade options.  For example if someone had a NIB ball that sparks my desire, I would trade and I would pay some cash to even the deal.  Hey, I can take a beating from the best of them (been married way too long for the likes of you bums to get to me) I do appreciate all the constructive criticisms.

This is quite simple, i dont know why the debate.

#1 - You are limiting your potential buyers if you hope to find someone with the same exact span.

#2 - Since when did drilling a ball increase its value?  Hey, i get a red pulse on its fourth drill, you figure the cost of plugging and redrilling is should be worth close to $175 right?  Give me a break.

Nothing personal, just speaking the truth...

Greatness,
To be fair, it was a mathmatical comparison to equal the costs.  I think you took the comparison the wrong way.  The comparison was to someone who could fit the span and get it shipped for $140 or offers vs the $135 at buddies plus shipping and taking it to ones drillers (some drillers charge arm and leg).  That is all that comment was, a rational of costs.

I've got a 15lb Colossus supreme that i'd trade.

How about a 13# Black Target Zone?  I'll even give you a handshake too!!  Whoa, can't pass this up.

Yeah, but I bet even if he drops the price *hint hint*, people will be thrown off and not buy anyways.  I don't know why they would, but hey, do humans make sense?

I also welcome constructive criticism... and that's also what a PM is for.  If you don't like the price move on.  No need to be a dick.
