xxxpipologyxxx--WARNING???
« on: June 25, 2003, 05:45:47 AM »
Just wanted to post a warning about this user. If he posts, or messages me soon telling me what is going on with our transaction then I will retract this post.

I posted a awhile back looking for a Track EMB. He messaged me telling me he had one for trade. I told him what I had and we agreed on a trade, an Ebonite Apex Aggression (which was used, thumb was plugged once, and he was notified of it) and $20. I shipped the ball on June 13th, with $20 cash in the thumb hole. It arrived at his address on June 17th at 3:07pm. He never messaged me letting me know he got it. I sent a few messages asking if he got it, and when he was going to send the EMB. He notified me that he was "on vacation" and he would have his maid send it. OK, fine. I told him just to make sure that I am notified of the tracking number, as I notified him of the one I shipped. Still nothing. I realize the ball only arrived there 8 days ago, but he has posted a few things in the wanted/for sale room. If he can do that why not return my messages?

This is just a warning to other users. I understand people have things happen and it can take awhile. So once I recieve the tracking number and the ball arrives I will repost about a positive transaction with him.

The condition of the EMB should not be suspect. It is supposed to be NIB. At this point I am not out much, $14 for shipping, $20 cash, and an Aggression--which the thumb hole had been plugged once, but the ball is in great shape there is a small scratch in it but nowhere of importance. No track wear, I hardly threw the ball at all.
My overall point is that I was stupid. I agreed to ship my ball first "trusting" that this person was going to ship as soon as he recieved the tracking number. And now learning he "shipped" via USPS has made me even more angry. He requested I ship UPS and he was supposed to do the same.
Age does not matter to me, what does matter is the character of the person. At this point xxxpip's character is in great question. Atleast it is as far as I am concerned.

My only complaint about him is that he took my Trauma and sold/traded it on here. But I was gonna sell it anyways (still waiting for him to pay me though).

You're joking, right?  He took your ball without your permission, sold or traded it, and didn't pay you for it???

How can you possibly excuse that?

Well he was supposed to buy it from me and he paid a little downpayment and I let him keep the ball with him so he could use it in league and whatnot, and about a month passed with no more money and I began to ask and he said its at his dads and stuff like that and when I checked on here I saw it for sale, lol. So he told me sold it and he's supposed to pay with next weeks paycheck. I got my fingers crossed

Michelle,

yes individuals can set up UPS accounts but pick up service is NOT available everywhere. I have a business acct set up with them and they will not pick up in my area.

I even caught the UPS guy delivering something the one day and asked if he could tkae 2 balls to the depot and he said no...we are not equipped to take pick ups.

So yes, anyone can set up an account but pick up is NOT always an option.

Doug, the UPS website says nothing about limited areas...it seems to infer that all services are available for pick-up.

With UPS Pickup, you can conveniently schedule a pickup at any location we serve - yours or your customer's. A UPS driver will come right to your door to accept your package.

If you say its not available, I'm not going to try and dispute that...but it is something that I feel people ought to try before resorting to the post office simply because it is closer.

I wanted to post to let everyone know that xxxpip has started working with me to straighten our problem out. I will update when I receive the tracking number and the ball. I am angry I had to to post a topic like this to get his attention. As far as I am concerned if he makes it right then our transaction went ok.

Forget UPS....FedEx is the only way to go.  FedEx Ground is less expensive and more reliable than UPS ever dreamed of.

So, ground service for USPS should be the same as Fedex or UPS going cross country.

Just a FYI.

It SHOULD be but it isn't.  The Postal Service has a relatively proven track record of if something can be screwed up, they will do it...witness the general tenor of comments on this board.  Yeah, they deliver...the question is when.

I'll continue to use UPS thank you. Fed Ex just lost 2 Teal Rhino Pros that I sent out to a guy on the board here.

They say "delivered at such and such a time". He never got them adn was home when the balls were allegedly delivered.

Luckily we insured them and my buddy has a replacement pair coming so the customer is not out the balls or the money.

MIchelle...I know UPS says they will pick up anywhere but it's a bit of a fib on there part. Now granted I live out in the sticks but still.....

Carl,
MadMax here, wish I had warned you about this kid, he wants allot but must
not have the money!  Messaged me about a Vortex 1 Trimax NIB but said he gets
paid on Fridays.  I told him contact me on Friday, if the ball still available then
it's yours, never heard from him again and it wasn't the first time either!  So
I know where Louie and everyone else is coming from, be warned!

I have also shipped balls before payment has arrived on a few occasions and that's
not the way to go, too costly to get burned!  Some people may remember a
post about 2 years ago where I was going to personally take a Trip to Texas to
get my money, being a ex-vet. and having a few old vet. buddies down there.
I thought I would pay them a visit, then the other non-paying party a visit.  A 130.00
dollars is allot of pain.  After they were notified I was coming it was funny how fast
payment arrived then but it should never have to come to that.  I have done allot of
business here and most people know me, but there's always a few you have to watch!

As for shipping, No One should ever use USPS, the cost and delivery times are bad!
Even shipping in State it's bad, so it's just not worth it!  As far as UPS or FedEx goes,
to each there own, I quit using UPS about a year ago.  They lost 3 balls, badly damaged
another, lost 2 more for 3 weeks that were incoming and just lost a case that was
incoming and these balls couldn't be replaced because they were overseas balls that
were hand picked for the spec.'s I needed!  So I will not jump on UPS's band wagon,
I have had great success with FedEx and will stick with them.  Carl good luck on this
and I will e-mail you on the DZ 2 Carbide, it just came in!
