To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the great 3-D Offset bowling ball Hammer is releasing a ball with the same name that will remind bowlers of the original's performance while dominating today's conditions. This ball uses a single density core that utilizes the same shape as the original core. This version of the 3-D Offset is covered with Neoflex 25 cover which includes a carbon fiber outer core. The current version is finished with a 2000 Siaair to assist the ball in getting down the lane resulting in a strong and continuous reaction through the backend and pins. These changes were put in place to improve ball motion, durability, and hitting power on current conditions. The visual appearance of this high-performance bowling ball is almost identical to the original due to the Blazing Violet color and yellow and orange logos. This bowling ball utilizes DOT! DOT allows you to drill anywhere on the ball and offers toughness to the ball.

Greatness Revisited…Believe the Hype!

Hammer has brought back a legend in the bowling industry.  The Hammer 3-D Offset is back and better than ever!  Everything you have heard about this ball is 100% true and does not disappoint.  The 3-D Offset is powerful, yet smooth and controllable.  Like the ball of the past, the 3-D Offset is extremely predictable off the spot and strong through the pins.  This ball can be drilled many different ways to give any bowler at any level the look and hook they are seeking.  I recommend this ball for all bowlers at all levels because of its versatility, by giving bowlers the ability to play the lanes from multiple angles and roll consistently virtually all the time.  This is also a great benchmark ball for anyone needing a ball to initially read the lanes.  The 3-D Offset is a MUST in your bag.

I was late in drilling my 3D but just felt like I needed an arcy ball that could fit somewhere in the middle of my bag.  As a bowler with a lower track (more sidespin), I am always in search of options to smooth out my down lane angles.  Drilled the 3D 40x4.25x45 (pin is partially through the ring finger) to help accentuate that smooth, arcy type motion.

The 3D has probably gotten more play than anything else in my bag so far this fall season.  It does a great job of blending the lanes by not over reacting to the dry, yet being strong enough to not over skid through the oil.  What impresses me the most about this ball is that despite being a pearl, it is neither quick off the friction or sensitive in oil.  I have used it in both my Challenge league and house shot, plus have had it out during tournament play as well.  In our challenge league on the Women's Open 2022 42' pattern I am averaging just over 220 and this ball has been in play every week but one.  The smooth, predictable ball motion has allowed me to swing the lane and not worry about seeing sharp ball motion on the back end.  One thing to note is that this ball comes at 2k out of the box which is uncommon for a pearl and I have touched the surface up to keep it just a pinch duller than what it would be laneshined.
On our high volume house shot, the 3D has come into play in the third game, once my Verge or Polaris Solids begin rolling too soon.  The move after a 4 or flat 10 with the aforementioned balls would be a switch to my 3D, camp my feet and soften my speed a pinch to get the ball to shape.  There have been times where staying straighter and firmer has worked on more wet/dry lanes, but slow hooking the lane has really looked good with this ball.

I recommend the 3D to bowlers of all styles and skill levels as a great middle of the bag ball.  This ball looks great on medium volumes of oil from all kinds of angles and is playable on a wide variety of patterns.  I really see the 3D as a really safe middle of the bag ball that will be effective for a lot of bowlers.
