Title: Bad Intentions Hybrid
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on October 06, 2015, 08:59:03 AM
Description:
The Hammer Bad Intentions Hybrid bowling ball will be truly offensive to your competition in more ways than one. This ball combines the Spheroid core and the Juiced Xtreme Hybrid coverstock to create a ball that will quickly show your opponents how badly you intend to beat them.  The low RG core offers revs with a symmetrical design that offers versatility giving you strength and control.  They hybrid coverstock creates less friction in the oil, but creates a strong backend motion.  The 3000 Abralon finish gives this ball the ability to perform well on both medium and oily patterns.  This high performance ball offers an aggressive back end motion, durability, and attitude.

This bowling ball is Carbon Fiber Infused!  Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth.  Hammer decided to add this material to the inner core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 3 year warranty.

COMMENTS

The new Hammer Bad Intentions Hybrid has a cross-breed of the original Bad Intentions & Bad Ass; therefore fits in between the 2 original releases perfectly. I loved the way the Bad Ass rolled, but it was a little too over/under at times, and the Bad Intentions was a little too early rolling without the kick in the backends. The Hybrid brings out both qualities and offers a stronger ball that can turn the corner when you need to get move left when the pattern breaks down. The BI Hybrid shows a stronger defined motion off the spot unlike the Bad Ass which tends to be a little sensitive to the carry down a little bit.

The Bad Intentions Hybrid is best suited for medium & medium longer patterns and/or heavier medium volume patterns. I tried changing the surface on this ball with 1000 w/ FF polish and went back to the 3000 Abralon surface gives me the best look for the patterns that I need it for.

The BI Hybrid is the 1st ball that has the Carbon Fiber mixed in WITH the coverstock and with the new 3 year warrantee that Hammer provides for this ball; this is the BEST bang for your buck!

This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck! Very versatile ball for all styles of bowlers…

Likes:This ball is amazing! I drilled mine using a 60 x 5 1/2 x 40 layout which put this pin above my ring finger. This ball is a great compliment to my bad intentions because the hybrid is cleaner through the fronts with stronger back-end motion. This will be a great 1st ball out of your bag if you need something that isn't too early.

Dislikes:None

I drilled my Bad Intentions Hybrid with a 5" pin above the fingers. For me, this puts the pin at 12 o'clock. I keep the CG stable for the most part and tend to stay away from weight holes if possible. This one did not require one.

The Bad Intentions Hybrid is an excellent upgrade from the original. With the hybrid cover, you do not sacrifice down lane motion where most solid cover stocks tend roll out and not finish back as strong. The Bad series from Hammer is a wonderful and versatile series to have thrown so far. Listed below is a comparison versus the other two bowling balls in the series. Please note, the others I used the same layout explained above.

Versus the Bad Ass
Bad Intentions Hybrid works great on more volumes of oil. While the Hybrid has a strong look off the dry, it does not have quite as much length as the Bad Ass. The Bad Ass is a great ball to transition to once the Hybrid is becoming too much ball for the lanes.

Versus the original Bad Intentions
Both can handle oil very well. Hybrids for me are capable of not burning up as much in the heads as solid cover stocks do. If you need aggressive but controllable reaction, the original Bad Intentions is what you are looking for. If you are seeking a tad bit more length and continuation to the pocket, the Hybrid is the one for you.

Likes: WOW!  This ball is fantastic.  i tried a little different layout than the ones I typically use.   I couldn't be happier with this ball.  I get good length with it, but the roll i get on the backend is unlike anything I have seen before.   Heavy, hard hitting and still maintains its angle through the pins.  The Carbon Fiber added to this cover to make it EXTRA TOUGH really compliments the Carbon Fiber added to the core to make it tough.  Simply put - The ball is MEGA TOUGH on the pins and they don't stand a chance!!!!

Dislikes: Hard to say I have a dislike, maybe that it doesn't like dry lanes very much, but there are better balls in the lineup from Hammer that suite those needs more than the Bad Intentions Hybrid!

LIKES: Great colors, awesome ball motion and continuation off the break point. Easy to read lane transition

DISLIKES: NONE!
OVERVIEW:
With the NEW juiced extreme hybrid cover it is very clean thru the fronts and mids a pack a powerful recovery on the backend. This is the first ball that HAMMER has infused the carbon fiber into the cover of the ball. I was able to play a variety of angles with this ball. It was really east to read transistion on the lanes. I found that this ball will fit between BW Red Solid and the original Bad Intentions.

LIKES:  COLORS AND BOLD PRINT. STRONG MOTION OF THIS BALL. VERSTILITY

DISLIKES: NONE
OVERVIEW:
THIS IS A MUST BALL FOR LOWER REV PLAYERS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A STRONGER BALL FOR THE HEAVIER OIL CONDITIONS. I LIKE TO KEEP MY ANGLES IN FRONT OF ME AND THIS BALL HAS GIVEN ME TONS OF CONFIDENCE ON THE HAVIER OIL CONDITONS. IT STILL GIVES ME A LITTLE BIT MORE BACKEND THEN THE RED LEGEND SOLID AND THE PARADOX.  I LOVE THAT THE MORE I KEEP MOVING IN ON THE LANE THE BALL DOES NOT LOOSE ENERGY.
