I drilled this ball up stronger than most of my equipment. I put the pin 4" from my axis and the CG 3 1/2".

I have thrown this ball on a House shot, Tournament shot, and a Sport Shot.

The house shot is an easy blend and the Tournament shot was extremely dry, and the Sport Shot was super wet.

The main difference with the condition was just simple movements on the lanes.

The ball made a strong mid lane move to the pocket with an even arcing reaction.

I found this ball fits between my Diesel Solid Particle and my Diesel Particle Pearl. The Particle Pearl goes longer down the lane before it makes it move, for me. The Diesel Particle Solid can handle more oil than the Diesel Reactive Pearl.

The Diesel line is for people looks for strong midlane arc. Very easy to read and adjust.

Any questions, please email me.

It's a DIESEL to say the least! 15LB 3IN pin drilled Label drill with the pin position to the right a down a little from the ring finger. I love this Ball has a little more back end snap than the Diesel Particle I have but still you can almost bet its gonna be in the pocket. I was figuring It might be a little over under but not so. Very Very Predictable! I give it a 10

If you liked the Diesle Particle then you will LOVE this ball. When it is time to put away the Particles because they are burning up to early, grab this ball and keep on striking. This ball clears the front with ease, even when the heads have fried, and stores energy for a great move at the back to the pocket.

Awesome ball for late leagues and night blocks!!!

had this ball drilled for dry lanes with the "B" setting placing the pin right above my ring finger (right-handed) and was surprised and the results.  This pattern is for maximum length which is what I wanted, but it still has an incredible backend (rivalling my Vicious Attack!), that makes it suitable for wet/dry conditions. Right after drilling I was challenged by a league bowler and averaged 220 with the diesel to his 158 with his Storm CRG.  After about 3 rolls I had figured out the shot using this ball for the first time and a nearby bowler stopped to ask me what I was using and where he could get one. After I told him the low $ (esp on ebay), he said he was going online for one of his own.  It just doesn't get any better that!  In my arsenal...NOTHING HITS LIKE A HAMMER!!!

Overview
Strong with above-average length, a strong backend, sharp breakpoint.  Good for medium-light through medium-heavy conditions.  Despite being a reactive pearl, I would not recommend this ball for short (under 35 feet) patterns regardless of the volume of conditioner.  This ball is strong on the back-end and needs oil through the mids (and sometimes longer) for good reaction.  Handles carry-down very well, almost seems to be made for it.

On medium to heavy oil from 39-42 feet in length, this ball "sets up" better than any other ball I have on any other ball's ideal condition. By "sets up" I mean the general breakpoint and angle to pocket created, regardless of the line (inside/ouside) played.

Ball Specs
16lbs, 3oz top weight, 3.5 inch pin-out
Layout: 6x6
Pin: 6 inches from PAP above fingers
CG: 6 inches from PAP at grip center
(My PAP is 6 over and 1/2 up)

How I throw the ball:
(see profile)

Caveats
I have not used this ball on wood lanes.  It seems that this ball would not work well on wood lanes unless they are flooded with oil/conditioner.

I have had this ball for some time now.  While it isn't one of my most versatile, it remains productive.  Rolls good but sometimes will roll out too early (hook-stop).  Probably why Hammer is discontinuing it.  I talked to another person who says his does the same thing.  But when the conditions are right for it, it gets the job done very well.
