I drilled my Hammer Hardcore Grind 4.5x55x30 with no weight hole. This ball really compliments that other balls in the raw series perfectly. The first thing that makes this ball really shine that it uses the orginal black widow cover stock. The grind is very clean through the fronts but reads the midlane and is very smooth and continous. Its cleaner through the fronts than the Jacked and more midlane than the Burn.It fits right between the Burn and Jacked. This ball will really work well on the typical house patterns or when you want to control the breakpoint. With the new finishing process being used it doesn't blow by the spot. For the price point its really hard to beat this ball for the money.Great job to Jeff and the guys at Hammer.

Hammer Hardcore Hammer GRIND
Weight: 15#
Top Weight: 2.75 oz.
Pin: 3-4"

Layout:
5" Pin Above the Bridge with the CG slightly kicked right. No Weight Hole necessary.

First Impressions:
More length and midlane than the JACKED. Of course due to the polished surface it got me a few more feet in length down lane.

Overall Thoughts:
The Grind gives you a hybrid blend of midlane and backend reaction that would more than likely fit most medium house conditions and league bowlers.

Final Conclusion:
If you desire a benchmark ball in the bag and need something stronger than a BURN but less aggressive than a JACKED, look no further than the HARDCORE HAMMER GRIND.

Hammer Hardcore Grind
Weight 15#
Top Weight: 1.5oz
3/8 side, 3/8 fingers
Pin: 3"

Layout:
Pin a above middle finger with CG under the ring finger, no weight hole.
OOB Surface, used on a THS.

This ball is going to work wonders for me. It gets the down the lane very easily and just makes a nice strong arc to the pocket. It definitely does what it supposed to do by NOT jumping hard off the spot. When it gets to the pins, watch out! Pin carry is excellent and it keeps the pins low.

I can easily see this being the first ball out of the bag. It fits perfect inbetween the Jacked and the Onyx.

I am sold on Hammer. The slogan is true NOTHING HITS HARDER THAN A HAMMER!

I can echo what the last poster has to say, although my Layout was a 4' pin to PAP, Pin Under, stacked, with an XH. Awesome piece, I actually put surface on this particular ball, 1000 Abby. Used on heavy/long tournament shot, and needed that surface. This ball just rolled very heavily, controlled the lane from front to back, and had excellent carry, keeping pins low. With the OOB surface you will get considerable length, as well as a smooth roll into the pocket. Great benchmark ball for a wide variety of styles, very controllable and forgiving. Go pick one up today.

Drilled Grind with a 5x4 which requires no X-Hole, pin on grip line under fingers.  I love this bullet core but have trouble getting this cover to read consistently with any volume of oil or carrydown.  I have tried several grits of Abralon but believe that a polish is still necessary to keep from biting too early.  Very nice ball when the back-ends are fresh.
