Hazmat good and bad for me.  New bal not everyone will agree.
Bowled with the Hazmat in two different bowling centers.  One synthetic one wood.  I bowled with the Hazmat box condition both centers.  The ball was just too much.  When the condition was fresh, had a great look at the pocket. Shortly after shadow (15 minute practice) the Hazmat played fairly well until the carry down. When the carry down went away, the ball was too strong.  So I ok the Hazmat home and hit it with a used 2000 ablaron pad and bowled league today.  The ball surface change made a tremendous difference for me. I was able to use the ball all three games moving left as needed but I never got the over under reaction. Hope this makes sense.

Love the new Hazmet.  The ball is very angular for a symmetrical ball.  The balls keeps the pins low are carries great.  A nice piece to add to your arsenal.

The Hammer Hazmat Hybrid is a great league ball. I had to make a slight alter to the surface after drilling to 1000-grit with crown factory compound and found this ball to great on house/league conditions. I’ve been able to use this consistently on a 41 foot/23ml house shot and it does not disappoint.

Hazmat:  This is being call the Baby Widow, and I can agree. The Hazmat is a little cleaner for me with a strong move to the pocket. I found the Widows to have a little too much midlane motion for me, making them never miss the pocket, but not letting me shape the ball to my liking. The Hazmat allows me to get the look that I want to see, without compromising the pin carry. The angles that I can create with this ball are almost as beautiful as the ball. A great piece for bowlers looking for a compliment to the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid.

LANE CONDITION

Volume: Medium-Heavy

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  THS

Likes: The Hazmat is a strong symmetric ball. The cover comes a little shiny, so it can be pretty strong once it sniffs out some friction.  I found it friendlier with the gloss knocked off to around 2500.

I drilled mine pin down and 4" from PAP.  Make no mistake this ball is pretty strong late on the lane, even for those bowlers who are not heavy-handed.  The colors are nice but the motion is even better.  I see this as a great "fresh ball" and versatile enough to open up angles as the lanes transition. Could easily be first out of the bag on any typical house pattern.  Great addition to the Hammer lineup.

Dislikes: Not even one.

Thank you for considering the Hazmat.

One of the better looking balls I’ve drilled in quite some time and has great shelf appeal. Overall, the ball is very clean through the front parts of the lane and retains energy very well. That being said, it is a bit more angular downlane you will likely need a sound bit of friction to see the ball turn as well as you’d like. It’s certainly better for later in blocks, but has sound versatility for shorter to medium length patterns.
