The Hammer Obsession Solid is obsessed with knocking down pins! This bowling ball introduces the Envy Solid CFI coverstock which is infused with carbon fiber for toughness. This strong cover is paired with the Obsession core and offers an aggressive midlane and backend reaction on heavy oil conditions. This bowling ball utilizes DOT and is Carbon Fiber Infused! DOT allows you to drill anywhere on the ball and offers toughness to the ball. Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the outer core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 2 year warranty.

Likes: I went with the complete opposite layout from my Redemption Solid which was pin above ring and stacked shifted to the right. The Obsession is laid out pin under middle finger and cg kicked out whicvh gives it an early roll that is predictable and very good on lanes that are heavy and transitioning with carry down. This ball will eat up the muck and roll as smooth as the tour but much more early. This is a good ball to have as the lanes are transitioning and the downlane movement isnt happening - this ball with corner and make the move for you.

I have not tried a high end performance hammer ball in a while because I was always stuck on the throwback upper-mid performance. I decided to short pin this ball because of the strong numbers, strong cover and being a solid. My first 16 frames in league with this ball were 10 pin, 10 pin, and then the next 14 strikes after making an adjustment. I still ended up with a good series after that but the lanes were breaking down different from normal so I had to work through the transition. I should have changed balls because this ball is strong and needed more oil. I would recommend for heavy oiled patterns, also this ball rolls very strong and very little deflection through the pins.
