If you loved the original Scandal then you will really love the Hammer Scandal/S. This ball uses the Hybrid CFI coverstock that is finished with a 500/2000 Abralon pad to give this ball the same strong mid-lane motion as the original but with more reaction on the backend. This bowling ball is Carbon Fiber Infused! Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the inner core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 3 year warranty.

Likes: The Scandal line for me has been okay - Nothing super powerful - but definitely good.  The Scandal/s has the same weightblock as the previous 2, but this is wrapped with a Semtex Hybrid cover.  My previous 2 (Scandal and the Pearl) have been relatively close to each in layout.  So this one I didn't want to stray to far away from.  Even though the layout is a hair different, I see a BIG difference in this balls performance from the previous Scandals.   The Scandal/s is much more even and blendable throughout the lane - Meaning that I was able to use it down and in and deep inside and the ball maintained the same shape pretty much and still maintained energy and drive through the pins.  I noticed that in my video of the ball, I hardly left any flat and ringing 10's.  This is a result of the ball maintaining energy all the way.   I still kept the pins low but didn't ever see the ball tip out and quit.  Definitely going in the bag for league season!!!  Get you one of these!

Check out the link for the full review.

Tested with 3 testers on THS and sport pattern.

Hammer set out to bring back a huge symmetric core into the top end and tried to give it more backend pop. They succeeded with the Scandal/S. It looks to be as aggressive as the original but the hybrid definitely gives it more jump downlane. Sometimes itís nice to be able to put a ton of surface on a ball and still save angularity. Like the Track Alias, this is still a big ball but without that really big ball snow tire feel that you sometimes see out of aggressive solid surface asym balls like the RipíD Solid. The transition from hook to roll is smooth but strong. On a house shot, it pops more for me than the RipíD Solid. When the RipíD Solid sees the right volume, look out as it also has the ability to pop downlane. So on most conditions, many bowlers may be able to better take advantage of the pop of the Scandal/S more than the stronger RipíD Solid.

Scandal/S is one of the most versital ball for any brand that I have thrown in a while . I have tested this ball on all patterns . It is so easy to get lined up with ball strong predictable motion. This is a must in everyones arsenal. I let this ball box finish and have not altered surface.
