How is possible that this wrecking ball has been on the market for over a month and this is the first review?  Anyway, I bought a 15lb. Switch Blade with a top wt. of 3 with a 2 1/4" pin.  As with my other equipment, it's drilled what's called "double stacked" (very aggressive) in order to keep up with my 20+ ball speed and high revs.  It is currently being used in a Brunswick house (medium oil conditions)using a new oil type designed to hold up longer without breaking down.

While few bowlers throw as hard as I and therefore advertised hook and backend performance for me may differ from most, here's my assessment of this product.

If you're in the market for a ball that you can use during medium oil conditions that is versatile enough to continue throwing with little adjustment throughout your 3 game set, this is the ball for you.  There is one drawback--you may find yourself feeling a little pressured having to hit your new average that has jumped roughly 10 pins.  A consistent roll throughout (I'm still waiting to see that aggressive backend), the Switch Blade delivers outstanding pin action and provides bowlers who are a little less accurate that extra margin of error to carry them to the next level.

Outstanding product from Hammer and for majority of people who are on a mid-range budget and not able to fork out $200.00+ for a high performance ball, this is a must have. Any questions, feel free to leave me a message and I'll be glad to answer them.

I got this ball a few months after Hammer demo day but a little worried after my Big Block D. died (quit hooking) on me after 50 games. The one I throw on demo day reacted great, but the new one didn't for me. It doesn't like oil and needs some dry to make a turn. I used it on our house shot 40 ft oil dry gutters. I had to square up with this ball rather than swing it to the dry like most hooking balls. My friend has one and throws the ball a little slower than me and had great success with the ball until 50 games later he had the same problem I had with the Big Block, it quit hooking. I don't know about mine because I quit using it about 15 games and sold it. Maybe a better ball for mid-oil with stripped backends on syn. lanes.
