Just got this ball this past weekend (2 Feb) and absolutely LOVE it!  It fits well between the Diesel Particle and the Blade Pearl if you're a HAMMERHEAD and trying to get a solid arsenal.  Of course, you'll have to add the EverClear plastic ball for those spares.  This particle pearl has a real consistent predictable roll with tremendous hitting power.  I had to actually move five boards inside since this ball was giving me that much more "area".

NOTHING HITS LIKE A HAMMER!!!!

Like the other review on this ball.I have it between my Diesel Particle and Reactive Diesel.Overall hook is equal to a Purple Vicious if drilled the same way.But it is smoother coming out of the oil. This will be your first ball out of the bag to start your early leagues and first blocks in tournaments on the fresh oil and clean backends.

Left Handed
15 Lbs.
Pin left-down of the ring finger
LMB
House conditions: Medium-Medium dry, but sometimes they change it to heavy oil (depending on the tournaments or classification for national competitions)
This is one of the best balls I had, perfect for medium-medium dry oil conditions.
My average has raised 20 pins since I purchased it (3 weeks), hits the pocket very hard and has a great roll, very forgiving if released well.
This week I played with it in heavy oil conditions and went a little crazy, made the adjustments, bowled it more straight but it did not hits as hard as before.
Overall this is a GREAT ball.

I tried this with the same shots as the Attack. This ball went quite a bit longer but cut back with a vengence, thus, now swinging. I stood 25 shot straight inside third arrow and ducked as the pins flew! Not as speed-sensitive as the Attack, for I was able to throw harder inside with additional RGs, and the ball would still clear the fronts nicely and have more than enough energy to blow the pocket. Hammer named it Vicious...How right they are!! This ball is drilled like the Attack, full leverage per the Hammer specs for maximum flare and required a weight hole. The action with this ball is just incredible! Not recommended as a beginner ball and the fact that I got it for a third of retail off ebay makes it even sweeter! NOTHING hits like a HAMMER!!!

I just punched up a second one of these.   I placed the pin above the bridge and kicked the CG out 15 degrees from the centerline.   I polished the surface and this ball is AWESOME.

This ball is VERY clean through the fronts and had great continuation through the pin deck.   This ball is another great product from Hammer.

I got this ball to replace my storm trama recovery when It cracked on me. I got it off e-bay for 95.00. What a deal. I had it drilled to go long and man this ball is perfact. It clears the heads nicely and gives me a strong recovery on the back end. Consistent is a word i'd use for this ball. Out of box I shot a 680, next night I shot 668 and last night shot a 718.. What else can I ask for.....

I bought this ball as a compliment to my Diesel particle pearl (thanks to Clint Daley!!). I rolled it on a medium oil league shot and a heavier oil league shot. Although I shot a 559 and a 569, respectively, I can point to at least four shots which the ball "forgave", i.e. it still came back up to the pocket when I threw it wide, and carried two Brooklyn strikes. This ball should make its way into my tournament arsenal very quickly.

I got one of these about 4 months ago and have put approximately 10-20 games on it and I'm not impressed to any extent.  For me this ball rolls just like anyother.  I drilled it with the pin over the fingers with cg kicked out a little bit and a medium sized wt. hole on my PAP.  This ball got through the heads pretty smooth and just had a small pop on the backend.  Like I said I was not overly impressed with the ball.  With my lower rev rate this ball just did not roll good.  I would either recommend drilling it stronger for the lower rev players or have something similar to the pattern that was on mine for high rev players.

Good Luck and Good Bowling,
Michael

Wow, talk about a tale of two balls. I got this one used a few weeks back and was not at all impressed during the early going. In box finish, the ball grabbed early and hooked too hard if I tried to stroke it, but it loped off of the dry and hit weak if I tried to swing it. Well, I threw this baby in the Lustre King for 2 minutes to give it some shine and we're talking about a totally different bowling ball. It's drilled pin above bridge, cg stacked below but slightly shifted toward pap. The polish helps the ball clear the front of the lane but now when it turns over it just keeps coming. I was able to just keep moving left and chucking right and this ball just laughed and kept flying back. The hit has also improved mightily with the polish. The only down side is that I wanted this ball for lighter mediums, and there is no way that it will handle that. But now I have a ball that will allow me to open up the lane from deep inside on thicker mediums. The difference in this ball from dull to polished is as drastic as was the case with my teal pro rhino back in the day. Dull, that ball sucked, shiny it rocked. So, if you haven't enjoyed the reaction that you've been getting from this one, play with the surface and you just might find a winner. I know that I'm very happy that I did.

Super ball choice!!!!! I just bought this ball new off ebay about a month ago for $72.00. I first rolled it from out of the box condition and the best i could do was a 591 series. So i polished it in the Bowling Center polishing machine before i bowled last Sunday and i rolled a 248+216+258= 722! On medium to light oil.

NUFF SAID!

Hammer does it again!!!!!!!!
