Was considering a Hammer Bad Intention..................
« on: December 15, 2015, 11:57:07 PM »
But wanted to know what the consensus is on this ball. Does the cover die quickly, does it seem to burn up to quickly or is it a good all around ball. Looking for a ball to slot into the heavy/medium ranges. What's everyone's opinion.

I would recommend the BI Hybrid as it has close to the same amount of hook with a little more pop in the backends than the original BI. The cover does not die on this ball (have thrown it for about 100 games so far) and still rolls great. I really like the fact that the Carbon Fiber is in the coverstock, which helps it last a little longer.

As for the original BI, I did see the ball start to be too smooth after 100 games, which it is designed to be a smooth rolling ball, but did not have the strong hook when it was brand new. I think the BI Hybrid was an upgrade for the original BI.

Hope this helps your question...

I bowled with the Hybrid at a demo so I assume it had a lot of throws on it before I got it.  It was the only ball that hooked well for me.  That was compared to Paradox, BW Red Solid, and Swerve.  None of those did the work that the Hybrid did.  I'm low rev/ high speed and the ball really allowed me to loosen up.

The only reason I'm asking is because I can get a really good price on the solid but from the sound of it it just seems like that ball is just so so.

Its a great ball, very predictable
it is somewhat conditional with the factory surface, if you take care of it and can change surface, it will be fine
if you dont clean it with a good product after each use, then it will become oil soaked and seemingly "die"

I have the hybrid as well, and I really like this coverstock, it is cleaner up front for me which I need.
the Paradox is even better in my opinion, amazing ball
