The Hot Sauce Vs. The Sauce Vs. Black Widow Venom
« on: January 20, 2009, 05:58:32 AM »
Ball: The Sauce
Drilling: 4.5 x 3.5 (Pin above Ring), Flare reducing balance hole
Surface: 4000 with light polish
Ball: The Hot Sauce Pearl
Drilling: 5 x 3 (Pin above bridge), Balance hole 4 3/4 out (7/8 size, 2 inch depth)
Surface: OOB

Ball: Black Widow Venom
Drilling: 4.5 x 3.5 (pin above ring), balance hole 4 3/4 out (3/4 in size, 2" depth)
Surface: OOB

Comparisons on THS at two different centers... Bowled on both second shift and fresh oil...

Of these three balls the Sauce is the most aggressive in the midlane and the rolliest overall. It still has energy retention on the back for solid hitting power and carry. Going too far left to right with this ball can cause for flat ten's when hitting pocket, light 2 pins when getting it out too far from it losing too much energy going left to right.

This is where the Hot Sauce Pearl steps in to take over. This ball is an amazing compliment to the Sauce and overall Hammer Line. It is very aggressive on the backend, probably one of the most aggressive High Performance Pearls I have had the opportunity to throw. It allows me to be able to get in deep and not sacrifice Pin Carry. With the Venom, I can get in normally but have to slow my ball speed down a bit. The Venom is a great ball, but the Hot Sauce Pearl definitely gives you a more aggressive look.

When bowling yesterday morning. (Round Roll Offs) with the Sauce and Sauce Pearl, I was able to start with the Sauce Pearl on the fresh oil standing around 25 and playing 20-5 with a little tug room and went 269 256 int he two game total pin match to move on. After the first two games we moved pairs to another fresh oil pair that had been sitting a bit longer. The Sauce Pearl was a little over under, so I went to The Sauce and was able to create an incredible look the first two games , and shoot 280 - 300. The first shot of the next game I went light with the Sauce leaving the 2-8 and I could tell it was losing energy, and I switched to the Hot Sauce Pearl to get a cleaner look through the fronts and more angle on the back. I was able to create this. I slammed a couple of 9 pins and a ten pin, but overall had a great look with a nice bounce spot created by the Sauce. Last game was 234.

Overall I would say the Hot Sauce and Sauce have the ability to cover the same amount of boards, but over different areas of the lane. When needing to create more angle, after the spot has been burned up, The Hot Sauce would be the ball to go to.

in comparing the Hot Sauce and the Venom: The Venom spins up a bit earlier due to the Asymmetric nature of the ball. The Hot Sauce is more continuous on the backend for me than the Venom. So if I need something to set up a hair sooner than the Hot Sauce Pearl the Venom would be the way to go. I would say the venom could be used longer in lighter oil conditions as the Hot Sauce might become uncontrollable because of its high hook potential.

Anyone who has a Sauce, definitely look for the Hot Sauce on February 3rd!

Give him a break, it's his job as a staff member to come on here and let everyone know how he likes the balls and how they work. If he dident, then he might not have his spot back come April.

Look at his recent finishes, they probably won't have him back anyway.
