Blue Vibe oob?
« on: March 03, 2009, 07:53:14 AM »
Doesn't anybody know what the original oob surface was on the Blue Vibe? I would like to return mine to that state, just don't have a clue what the sanding under the polish was. Currently it is 4000 with Beans on it, seems squirty compared to oob.

Rogers correct, 4000 grit then polished.  I believe the ball uses Ebonites factory finish polish.

Yeah I am going go back to the Factory Finish Polish. I don't like the Beans Secret Sauce on this ball. I put that stuff on my Legends Big Bang and wow watch out. But it makes the Vibe way to squirty, just too much extra length before it moves.

There is no way mine was 4000 abralon plus polish from the factory.  it looked like it was 1000 abralon plus polish.

All I know is what the Tech Specs have. That's what they listed the BV for box condition. I print them off twice a season so I'll have older finishes if/when I run across those balls. If yours was different, not much I can say.

It wouldn't be the first time Hammer sent out the same ball with two different surfaces.  The Big Rig Diesel was another ball that had a couple different surface preps from the factory.
