Title: Any feedback on Arson High Flare?
Post by: lefty50 on May 28, 2016, 04:51:16 PM
I don't see much written on the AHF, but specs look right up my alley (pun intended)...
Feedback on the ball and comparison please?
Thanks in advance

I would like some feedback about that ball too.
I'm thinking of buying a medium oil ball and another heavy oil ball by Hammer for the next season.

Looking forward to next month's expo, to see if Hammer will release more balls.

mine is drilled 5x4 pin down with x hole 63/4 down. very clean, strong mid and backend. I found carry was very good but needed to change cover to 500/1000 polish as it was a little to flippy for me. the ball seemed to want to roll more then rev up (lay out)?  lots of performance for the buck IMO.

By the way, are you folks talking about the pearl or the solid?

Good point Charlest. I was looking for both, but I think the only specific comment so far is related to the pearl, which is the one I saw while watching a lefty @ Nats on webcams and got interested. Prolly personally interested more in a pin down solid now, but still open.... :)

I was excited to hear when they released the Arson High Flare (Yellow/Red) ball, but after drilling 2 of them, I was on the fence as it tended to be a little too over/under for me on various lane patterns...

When the Arson High Flare Solid came out... this coverstock (Original Arson cover) and the modified Arson core, I was sold before throwing the 1st ball... This ball is one of the 1st balls that I throw on various medium to medium-heavier lane patterns.... Offers control, yet a little strong continuation like the original Arson did back in the day. This is a versatile ball and offers so much control. Have drilled a few for other local tournament bowlers and everyone has loved the motion of this ball.... it is that good for all styles of bowlers!
