Widow Sting and Raw Burn
« on: May 28, 2009, 01:12:43 PM »
Widow Sting:  This ball reads through the front and mids very well.  It is very impressive off the break and hits hard.  Was very impressive on a 41' flat pattern as it read consistiently through the fronts while maintaining plenty of energy to make a strong move off the break.  on our house shot, was able to open up the lane and create area down the lane.

Raw Burn:  This may be my new favorite.  on the house shot, the ball is aggressive off the break with great length.  wonderful roll as it goes down the lane.  This ball allows me to play a more direct line to the pocket or move in and soften the hand and play the middle.  With either line this ball is as advertised, aggressive off the break.  On the 41' flat pattern, was able to move in after the transition and open the lane.  Great length and still very stong off the break.

Both ball's were drilled 4X4

More to come after I get the Onyx and Raxor on the lanes.

The burn gets through the heads much easier than the toxic or the psycho.  The burn has excellent length with plenty of punch at the break.

Can you compare the Sting with the other Widows?

I am also a staff member.  I live in Florida.  I just wanted to post what I originally shot with this ball out box drill pin under at 40 degrees.  The house is a typical house shot with Pro-Anvilane that are two years old.  We had our end of season payoff/playoffs last Thursday.  The way it works is that the top 16 teams return after payoff for head to single game elimination match play.  First game playing straight up 8-9 went 244.  Second game playing 12 went 260.  Third game in to 15 out to 10 went 300. For 804 out of box.  This ball has similiar motion to the original Widow but much earlier read in the midlane and a stronger and continuous backend.

I used the Onxy Vibe on the Viper in a sweeper Saturday night and a Acid on the other lane of Scorpion.  Bothe are drilled at 40 degrees.  The acid is pin up and the burn pin down.  The Viper played really tight in the middle part of the lane so you had to play right up 5 with no hand let the ball work.  The scorpion played normal started at ten and moved left as the mids burnt up.

I will post every now and then what I see.  Pls feel free to post questions as I will do my best to answer them.
