Arsenal help, again : )
« on: February 28, 2005, 01:31:14 AM »
Okay, here's what I've got:

Heavy: Real Deal
Med-Heavy: Ultimate Inferno (Polished)
Med: Blade (Polished)
Med: Blade Pearl
Med-Light: Reaper 2
Burnt-Spares: Target Zone

I think that I'm pretty well set with this group. The only area that I'm not dead-set on is the Reaper 2 for medium light. It gets great length and all, but I'm not sure if it's my answer for that slot. Is there anything else in the Hammer line that you all think would be a better fit. I'm looking for something with good push, even on very dry heads, and controllable recovery. I was thinking maybe a Big Blue Pearl, Polished Saw Blade or Switch Blade. Let me know what you guys/gals think.

Thanks,

Gene J. Kanak

The three you listed will hook more than your blade pearl. I still recommend either the deal drilled weak or the Pure Hammer polished up.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.
Now that I am back and my Saws are sharp again, I am ready to cut some wood.

Nah, the best choice for for this slot is a Switch Blade, currently.   This ball is VERY clean through the front and very controllable down lane.

I am a winder that loves push and this ball has plenty.   Maybe like a 5" Pin to PAP distance stacked and this will give you all the push and recovery you need.

Glad to see you went with the REAL DEAL, and that it is working for you!!

The real deal for heavy oil? That sounds a bit iffy to me unless you have a good deal of hand.

I just got a Viscious Particle Pearl.  Drilled pin just right of ring finger, MB just right of thumb, CG kicked right about 1 1/2".  I tried it tonight on fairly dry lanes with moderate carrydown.  Ball had plenty of length, and very controlable backend movement.  BBP is also a very good choice.  Switch is another, I shot 300 with one a couple of weeks ago.
