No Mercy Beat'n..... Thumbs Up
« on: September 26, 2007, 05:31:42 PM »
Well, Ive been a brunswick die hard for a while now. I have recently sold off most of my gear. I basically got rid of everything I dont need. Kept the Pearl Total Inferno, Solid Partical Ebonite Smash Time, and my plastic ball. The smash time i cant really use much as I dont usually see that kind of oil much or at all. So seeing I only had 1 true ball in my bag that was use full I decided to get a NMB and give it a shot.

1st night I couldnt use it. The surface was too aggressive (2000 no polish) and the ball was burning up before 45'. 2nd night after I changed the surface to 4000 sheen polish the ball stored up plenty of engery through the whole lane. Much better line down lane and exactly what I saw in the videos. Shot decent with it on a 2nd shift oil with a 639 series. 3rd night on a fresh house shot I shot 687 with it.

So from a brunswick lover, this ball has definately found a home with me. Could be trying out other peices from Hammer. Great job by hammer!

I think you'll like it once you get the surface matched up to your style and lane conditions. Took me a few nights to figure out the right surface for the ball to store enough energy and to get the pin carry needed for good scores.

I used mine this morning, and I'm gonna have some adjusting to do on mine.  When it made it's left turn (after about 35-40 feet, a lot sooner than I espected it to turn at), it just basically "stopped" and went dead straight after that.  Logic tells me that it's "rolling out".  Also, the fingerholes are too tight, so I'm gonna have to take it back to the proshop in order to get those adjusted.  But I still believe it's gonna work out, just needs some adjusting.

Yep, same thing I had with mine. Took the surface from 2000 Abralon to 4000 with sheen polish. The ball goes longer, stores energy better, and carries soooo much better now. Its my 1st ball out on a fresh shot, and sees about 1 to 1.5 games on 2nd shift oil before I need to move down to a Pearl cover.

Yeah, I had mine polished this weekend, and it reacted much better tonight.  I think it'll take me a little time to get used to but I'm sure it'll be a fine ball for me.

Well, if your not used to a ball that will snap off the dry and use stuff that mainly archs to the pocket, this ball can be a troublesome little beast. I love gear that jumps to the pocket like this one does. There is a down side though, get to slow and its gonna jump too much. If you get to fast it'll jump but a tad bit late. Anyway, a few more tweaks and it sounds like your well on your way to having a very good ball in your bag. I know I do!!
