Burn vs. Hy-Road
« on: August 30, 2009, 09:53:13 AM »
Yes, I am comparing a Storm to a Hammer ball here. Just curious how the two compared. I am thinking about getting a Burn for sure, but was wondering how a Hy-Road would compare as far as overall strength and angularity.

Thanks.

For me the the overall the strength of the two were close, both are surprising strong balls. But the Burn is cleaner up front and more angular off the spot. But my Hy-road absolutely hated any oil downlane and the Burn is amazing good at handling carrydown.

I think the Burn would do better on carry down simply due to it being a lower RG ball.  Seems somewhat contradictory since it's a pearl, but you are comparing 2 different companies.

I'd say the Hy-Road is better able to handle a higher volume of oil than the Burn as well.

My observations pretty much mirror the other 2 posters here...

The Hyroad appears to be much more mellow all the way down the lane while the Burn is definitely longer and more angular off the break.

Even drilled Rico my Burn covers way more boards on the backend than the Hyroad.
