Big Blue Pearl? Love it or Hate it!
« on: February 22, 2004, 09:20:49 PM »
Any body that has a Big Blue Pearl please respond to this topic and tell me what you guys think about it...

I have probably the only one in the Houston area, because of Jimmy Riley, but I love it when the condition is medium to light oil, and it works really well on old beat up surfaces. My name is Derrick Woods and I am new to Ballreviews.com, I work for Mike Austin in Houston, TX. I also went to Wichita State University. Hey guys give me ya'lls honest opinion on this ball.

Thanks
Derrick Woods

I just drilled this ball last week.  Compared to the Big Blue, this ball does exactly what it is meant for.  Mines drilled pin 5 inches from PAP and the HMB is on my VAL.  Weight hole is 6 3/4 , 1 inch down from my mid line.  This ball clears the heads as well as any hammer ball ive thrown.  It still has the predictability like the original Blue but much more back end.  I wouldnt say that its a skid snap reaction though.  Just clean roll and hook.  Excellent ball.  I love the Big Blue, but I think I like this one more.

Welcome derrick

I live around the houston area "baytown La Porte area". I am sure you can find out just about anything you want to know that is bowling related on this site. As for working for mike you couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable person as far as matching people up with equipment and layouts. Good luck and maybe I will see you around.
