Title: Big Rig Diesel--Discontinued
Post by: tburky on March 21, 2006, 08:31:41 AM
A friend of mine on the hammer staff told me the diesel line is being discontinued. Best ball in the whole line was the big rig. Very underrated ball...what a shame

That's what happens now.  Ball company's discontinue balls to fast.  From what I have seen Hammer seems to keep them around a little longer than others.

Any word yet as to what they're bringing out to replace
the Diesel line???  More "Wild" or "Doom" stuff???
I hate to see the Big Rig go. I've got my highest series
and games ever w/ this ball and it's just made me a much
more confident bowler.

I hate to see the Diesel line go as well.  I have a Big Block and a Power Diesel, and am happy with both.  I use my Big Block for medium oil, and my (recently purchased used) Power Diesel for slightly longer oil, or if there is some carry down that I have to fight through.  Both Diesels hit like Freightliners.

I throw a Vibe for the dry, and a Hawg on heavy oil.  I throw a white dot at 10-pins, and I keep a Faball Red Pearl Hammer around for giggles (or when the lanes are just toasted.

A Vibe has a modified Vicious core.  Mine hits like a truck on dry lanes.  Maybe our friends at Hammer can play with the coverstock a bit. and create something that would work on heavier oil...
