SAUCE QUESTIONS?
« on: September 29, 2008, 04:25:23 AM »
im looking at "THE SAUCE" but i need to know some speciffics.  what lane conditions - heavy, or med oil?  is this a "solid" or "pearl"? i do not have alot of hand, more of a down and in player, or i can play a swing shot if the back ends are moving. i do throw hard 16.5 -17.5. will this ball be a good fit?? id love to try hammer again. i have not thrown a hammer in a long time. let me know, thanks.

Gotta be solid.  OOB I'm pretty sure it is Hammers biggest oiler in the current lineup.

Checked there last night and they were up to $157.00. Maybe they changed the price before or after, but it was $157.00 last night. And so was bowling.com.

Has anyone started playing with the surface on this yet.  Any polishes or updates from different oil volumes would be nice as well.

All I know is that my pro shop boss is a staffer and he said the Sauce is insane as far as hook. It outhooks any of his current hammer pieces. It is also a pretty lookin ball.

Hammer is going to have fun with the "sauce" name !

I can see "Secret Sauce", "Extra Sauce", "Hot Sauce", "Special Sauce", etc. !

I'm anxious to compare this ball to my Anger. Looks like it's even more fierce.

For me, The Sauce is a good 3-4 boards more out of the box than an Anger that I have drilled the same way.  You'll see those two balls compared in the video at Hammerbowling.com.  But the other things to keep important are:

1) The Sauce is actually a little cleaner through the front of the lane due to some of our breaktroughs with these Aggressive Edge Coverstocks.  They're actually easier through the front but more friction than the midlane.
2) You'll also notice that The Sauce comes 4000, while Angers are 2000.  Take a Sauce down to 2000 and you'll see the apples to apples difference.  It will be at least an arrow in total hook.
3) The Sauce really offers better continuation through the back of the lane with it's more dynamic Contrusion core system.  The Angers has a simple Raw Hammer core, and they lack the downlane movement that The Sauce also features.

I hope this helps everyone out!  Get Sauced!
