Doom for light oil??
« on: March 11, 2007, 01:35:05 PM »
Does anyone use their Doom for light oil? I'm not really talking a dry shot, but a broken down, or lighter pattern?

If so, what drilling/surface worked best?

if you were to use it, it would have to be a real weak drilling. i dont think you could use it still. You would be better off with one of the vibes, possibly a weaker toxic.

Mines at 4000 polished and I use it on medium oil conditions. I cannot use it on stuff thats light because this ball has more midlane than most would expect. Plus it has a helluva flip to the pocket.

My Toxic is pin under ring, and it is midlane-city! I can't believe how strong that ball is. It's way more ball than I thought it could be. IMO, the Toxic is way stronger, and handles more oil than my NO Mercy ever did.

The DOOM works great on med and light oil fresh and broken down conditions.  Put a length drilling on the DOOM and be good to go.

As Chitown said, this ball works woderfully on med-light oil. You just have to have the right drilling. I have almost a max-length flip drilling on mine, and I use it on  light oil all the time.

Pin over the bridge, cg kicked right about a half an inch. It is almost a 5.5"x 5.5" flip drilling. Gives great length and even greater recovery. I always use it on broken and spotty light conditions.
