BW Legend vs Absolut Flip
« on: October 04, 2014, 12:57:42 PM »
How do these 2 balls compare?

Looking for an angular finish to compliment a very smooth, controlled Brunswick Meanstreak Beatdown.

Thanks!

Would recommend the Legend... The Flip is an amazing ball for the medium patterns, but the Legend has more backend motion & is a stronger overall ball. Both are amazing pieces to have in your bag... The question really is... Do you want a versatile ball or a pearlized ball for the medium patterns? Can't go wrong with both... I use both of these gems a lot right now & I see the Flip is about 5-6 boards overall weaker than the Legend.

Hope this helps!

I agree. Out of the two balls, I had a more consistent "read" with the Flip in their
out of the box surfaces. Once I hit the Legend with a 3000 Abralon pad, it had
a stronger move off the breakpoint than my Flip. I usually do not throw Hammer equipment, but I "discovered" them during a recent Ebonite Demo Day. These are 2 fantastic balls. I am a lower-rev stroker and these balls flat -out turn the corner for me.

I wouldn't call myself a convert, but I now have the Legend, Cobalt Vibe, and Blue Hammer in my bag.  Legend is a great ball, although so far I like it a lot better on house shots than tourney patterns.
