BLACK WIDOW VENOM
« on: August 19, 2014, 02:24:10 AM »
Literally was given a used Black Widow Venom. Trying to figure out if it's worth resurfacing and re-drilling. Honestly it looks like it needs just a little tender love and care...

Any opinions on the ball or prior experience? The Ball Reviews section seemed to be half good and half bad on this one.

Thanks in advance.

I personally loved mine. Nice reaction on the back end from a higher speed, lower rev player on wood lanes.

I was just getting back into bowling when it was released, so I missed the earlier releases.

I have been debating on getting the bw legend because of my love for the venom.

I have the BW Legend and the BW Assassin currently and I like them both. I'm still trying to figure out exactly where my BW Legend is best for. It goes longer than my BW Assassin but turns the corner so much harder.

I had a venom that I literally found at the bowling alley in the middle of the floor as it was closing. Nobody claimed it so I took it home and redrilled it. The cover needed some work but after I fixed it up it became one of my favorite balls ever. So versatile. It gave me a lot of backend and also allowed me to play angles that other balls wouldn't allow me to play. Definitely worth redrilling. I suggest going pin up with it.
