New to Hammer, need suggestion
« on: January 30, 2008, 02:13:26 PM »
Hello all.  I have been using brunswick equipment my entire bowling life (24 yrs).  I currently roll a Vapor Zone and Scorchin Inferno.  I have been very underwhelmed lately with their reaction.  I typically throw around 17.5-18 mph with a higher than avg revolutions.  Not massive revs but a lot.

I am really interested in trying a new brand and hammer has caught my eye.  i'm particularly interested in the Bite or the original BW.  I bowl on typical house shots that I would say are medium to medium oily.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!!!

Jason

Thanks for the reply Hogsharley.  I was leaning toward the bite.  I'm sure this is a difficult thing to answer without knowing any of my specs but, what layout should I drill?

Thanks,
Jason

JMO......whatever your pro shop IF he/she is a good operator will layout your ball correctly as they will know your game, PAP, ball speed and condition bowled on.

Thanks for all of the information fellas.

I bought a bite and drilled it pin above ring finger with the mb slighly right of the thumb.

I've bowled 6 league games on it and had a 670 last week and my best series today: 729 (237, 214, 278 (front 9 then solid 10)).  So far, I'm loving this ball!!

Thanks for the advice.

Jason
