SOOOOO!  I have had a black widow original laying around for about two years, not used that often as it is 14 and I usually like 15 for the extra hit I get with my soft speed.

All of a sudden I took this up till now soft boy (never struck in my harsh wet/dry home house while striking up a bunch at more traditional blended house shots centers).

All of sudden yesterday it was an absolute monster!  Gorgeours smooth powerful backend as I played the lefty's inside slot 14 to 8!

Thinking about it, I also realized I had picked up a Black widow Legend a couple of years ago and realized it was a Hybrid with a pearlish look to it!  I read a little more and discovered that a Black Widow Assassin I had seen and thought was a pearl was actually a solid!

Now I am all excited but worried that the Legend(Hybrid is gooing to be too big  bouncer for me off the wet dry and maybe what I need is an Assassin for it's smoother expected bounce off the dry that a solid gives!

(Why did I think that Assasin was a pearl?)

Hammerjheads, please help!  Could you compare the Original Solid, Assassin, and the Legend to each other.  The reviews out here didn't clarify it much and the only videos I had seen seemed to make the Legend(hybrid) look a lot stronger than the Assassin!

The real story?

Thanks,

Luckylefty

Hammerheads?  Help?

Sincerely,

PS or is the original Black Widow best copy the Dark Legend Solid?  Thanks!

Honestly the Swagga might be the closest based on BTM#s or maybe even the Taboo.  The issue is going to be everything modern with the gas mask is going to have a much stronger cover that responds quicker to friction than the Original BW which from what I understand was kind of a unique piece as it was.  Actually if willing to go with a symmetric ball the Web Tour Edition numbers look decent (bit stronger overall though).  That is a very smooth ball for blending wet dry as well.  Here are BTM numbers

Name                        Torque          Length      Backend         Hook
Black Widow OG         6.5               12.5          16.0              50
BW Assassin               7.5               16             17.5              54
BW Legend                 8                  15             18.5              54
BW Red Legend Solid   7.5               12             17                 56
Dark Legend Solid        7.5               11             17                56
Web Tour Edition          6.5               12            16                 53

(edit:  Have the BW Legend and BW Red Legend Pearl and yes nothing smooth at all about those pieces.  About the most angular I own.  Haven't rolled any of the others but since no one replied giving something at least)
