Just received ny Anger and I have a question
« on: August 24, 2007, 04:09:23 PM »
about the drill sheet.  I red all the drill recommendations for low track, medium track and high track and I don't think any of the drillings had the cg kicked right of the pin.  Like the pin under the ring finger and the CG kicked right for a right handed bowler.  It had different pin locations but most of the CGs were in the middle of the palm or there about.

I had some recommendations to put the pin between 3 1/2 and 4 1/4 and kick the CG toward the right but Hammer in their drill sheet made no recommendation for this drilling.

Can someone explain this to me or or this another one of those CGNOMATTER.

Understand that it is for reference.  But with all the R&D they do on these bowling balls, you would think that if kicking the CG right would be a good drilling for the ball, that they would have at least one recommended drilling for that ball with the pin swung toward the PAP.

I'm just wondering if others kicked the CG right and what difference it would be for the heavier oil drilling that Hammer recommends with the pin between 3 1/2 and 4 and the CG middle of the palm?

By moving the CG to a location where you have about 3/4 oz. positive side weight you're allowing more options for reaction fine tuning since you can add a weight hole in a few different places to tweak the way the ball flares.

You will also notice that most of the drill recomendations talk about PIN to PAP distances and NOT CG to wherever distance. The reason for this is it doesnt matter. The ONLY thing that matters is where you will have to drill a weight hole, if you have to much side weight.
