Man, I really need to stop trolling those international shops and channels.
This looks nice, and has the continuation I was looking for that seemed to be lacking along with having that squirlyness/over-under in the BWG and not as long as the Platinum. I really hope it makes it stateside, but I seriously doubt it.
If it did, the only question I would have would be why I would get it instead of the Peppermint or Onyx Vibe, let alone a Statement Pearl. Those are the only places I would see overlap, leaving the only reason to get it being "Black Widow" and Gas Mask core.
Thoughts?

I don't know how you have the Vibes close to the Black Widows in terms of shape. Statement Pearl is also a bigger ball than the Widows. Would be a nice attractive ball to have though.

I'm comparing them in terms of performance for the core/cover combo. Gas Mask core with a pearl cover would be great, as long as they figured out a way to deal with the over/under that you could get from it, especially if used in the transition. That is where people started to struggle with the BWG. Even if it made it over here, the BW Platinum wouldn't have helped much because it went even longer than the BWG. This The BW Pink makes up for that and looks to handle that transition better.
Now, comparing that to the performance of the core/cover combo you get with the Vibe, dozens either way. I just don't see how unless you have two completely different sets of arsenals, that you could work in a BW Pearl (of any variant) with a Statement Pearl in the same lineup. How would you work through the overlap?

Isnt this what I saw Dom Barrett use yesterday to throw a 300 is the early squad at World Series of Bowling? It looked sick on the Cheetah. Everyone else was using urethane (well, 90% or so... and a few used plastic all day).
-
It's probably state side
-
Well I can never get a photo small enough to post but their Facebook page posted a pic with dim Barrett holding it and one of the hashtags was #pinkballcoming
-
plus i was under the impression that you can only use stateside balls for pba events....
-
Somebody hinted to me a little while ago they thought it may be a stateside release. Just announced overseas earlier then here. So maybe....
-
It is a US release and info will be out next week on it.
-
Its stateside-WWID is 3-21 Release date is 4-13. Pearl Cover.

That is correct, however there was an exemption for the WSOB previously. I havent seen if they're allowing for this year as well
-
Well.... let's see if Dom makes the show. It may jsut show up on TV.

You called it. There's a video now up on FB from everyone with TeamEBI throwing shots, and Dom is definitely throwing the BW Pink.
Right now, I don't know if I'd rather have this in black lettering, or go old school Pink Hammer and have it white. Either way, That ball is making its way into my bag if I can find a way to not have it overlap a Statement Pearl.

I don't know what the actual cover is yet, but been told its a strong pearl.. I will try to find out how it compares to SP.
-
I would like to know how it compares to my BW Gold? Same cover, new color? New stronger cover? New cover weaker???

Black Widow Pink uses Aggression CFI Pearl (same cover as Statement Pearl)
Black Widow B/G uses Aggression Hybrid

From what I'm reading, and yes, it's from Japan, so it may have some changes should it make it here, it's going to come close to the Statement Pearl.
Cover: Aggression Pearl CFI (same as on the Statement Pearl)
Core: Gas Mask (duh! I think they learned not to go the BW Nasty route again)
Finish: 2000 Abralon Polished

Mostly everything else is what you'd expect. Compare that to the specs of the BW Gold, which was using the Semtex Pearl cover (Scandal Pearl), and there should be the differences.
I think it's going to come down to shape on this; the performance you know you get from a BW compared to how the Statement Pearl rolls.
I included the video for the BW Pink in the OP; here's a video of the same guy throwing the Statement Pearl. Same layout on both balls.
If anything, this should be the apples to apples comparison we're looking for.

They're making this ball look crazy stoopid now.
Bill O'Neill just strung 21 in a row with this ball on the Scorpion pattern.

I saw Bill O’Neill and Kyle Sherman throw this ball on FloBowling. I believe O’Neill shot 300 with it as well!

Bill O'Neil announced on the Flobowling Instagram that it comes out on April 9
