Black Widow Question
« on: September 15, 2006, 03:54:27 AM »
Just received a Black Widow, considering the flip D layout on it.  Anyone tried it on the BW?  Wondering what to expect from it on old wood lanes with wet/dry and excessive carrydown.

yes,I've found that asymmetrical balls work well for me on specific patterns, lines but I can adjust easier with symmetrical balls.

well I tried my widow with the new dril tonight,51/2"pin from pap with the mb 3" from thumb center.med.flat pattern the ball was long and strong playing 20-8 to 5 but playing around if I moved in it left alot of flat 10's.changeing axis did'nt help at all.I could keep it on a tight line with more speed but I was forceing it with speeds around 18 mph.my comfort speed is 16-17.I'm thinking of going to 2000 grit, anyone have their bw sanded to a lower grit?
