Title: Black Widow Venom vs UpRising
Post by: charlest on September 25, 2008, 03:36:26 AM
(not getting much of a response in Miscellaneous)

They seem to have more in common than in difference.

Anyone happen to have both and/or can compare them, specifically?

Uprising is easily 1 - 1 1/2 steps above the venom in oil handing, the UR handles carrydown much better and is a smooth ball start to finish for me.

The Venom was a pretty mild OOB, I now have it with resurrection and it is much better ball smooth now where before it had more snap too it as you would think.

OOB My Psycho outhooked the Venom so for each person it is different I guess, The UR is untouched and is drilled exactly like the Venom which is pin over ring 4 1/2 pin to pap and 4 1/2 mb to pap.

The Venom for me is allergic to oil in the backends, so if a fresh shot it is pretty good if carrydown so far no finish and back row taps all day.

The UR rolls beautiful i score well everytime I break it out, but being such a nut job I throw different balls every set i bowl a league.

That is my take of both balls, so since we disagree many times take it for my opinion I do this with Jkiser all the time.

Heh, I emailed Jeff basically the same thing, barring I've only seen them thrown and not thrown them myself.

From what I've seen the Uprising is much, much smoother. The Venon resembles a number 7 with its reaction, while the Uprising is more of an arch-like shape.
