Blue Vibe question?

O have a Blue Vibe and was looking for an even rolling ball. I have the pin to the right of the ring finger  O  O *  Kinda of like this.

What I am getting is a ball that gets down the lane, but has a violent backend reaction. I leave allot of 4-9's, 4's and 9's, which is not common for me or the pattern. So far it's not the smooth arching ball I was hoping for. Should I redrill it and move the pin under the fingers to get a bit more midlane and smooth on the backend ?

So your CG is in your palm with the pin at the right of your fingers?  (1:30 Label drill).  If so, then your ball is waiting later to begin reading the lane and is reserving too much energy for you at the pindeck which is what causes one to leave such things.  Changing the cover would be an option, that way the ball would read a little sooner and burn off a little energy before getting to the pins.  Just a nugget for you to chew on...

I have one with the pin below the middle finger, Cg in palm and i get the same reaction.  Mine is very responsive to rev rate.  Lean on it and it becomes more snappy.  Softer hand and it becomes more arcing.  But it is more versatile with the right surface.  2000-4000 grit abralon used on its intended conditons should do nicely.

Right now I scuffed the polish off it and I'll try to take it to a true 2000 or 4000 grit. I was just looking for a more even reaction, but maybe it's just me leaning on it then.

If you want it to go longer, sand the ball in the same direction as your track. I'd say go through all the grits up to 4000 abralon then polish it. YOu should see the difference.

You can scuff the cover up a little bit...will make it read a little earlier and smooth it out on the backend.

For a generalization, put a weight hole above grip center, somewhere around you VAL....worked with my Punisher to smooth out the reaction a lot.

If the cover change is not working for you then I would suggest buying some Ebonites Matte polish.  This polish WILL smooth out the reaction a bit.  This polish is some good stuff.
