burn no turn?
« on: March 09, 2010, 03:10:40 AM »
got a 14lb burn for my wife over holidays, shes doing well, ie improving. Mostly see light 2 med oil, burn reacts well for her, on occasion there seems substantially more oil, burn no turn, lol. shes a med speed/rev player usually stands 18/20 eyes 6/8 swings out 5 or less. looking at getting her a jacked for anniv and looking for input. thanks

you could try using the same layout on the jacked as what is on the burn. the coverstock alone should help make up the difference. just an idea. good luck.

Yes think the same layout will be good too. We have done this for a few people who visited the booth and they said they compliment each other very well. Jacked is a lot of bang for the $$$$

From everything I've seen and read about the burn, it was not meant to be swung out anywhere.  It was a ball you through straight up the boards, and then at the last second it snapped left.  Throwing it out to the 5, means you're asking for the ball to snap 15 boards left.  That's a lot to ask for without a certain amount of revs.

As for the Jacked, it's suppose to be a very strong ball, for heavy oil.  I'd be worried it'll be too strong for her, and would maybe look into the Acid in that Hammer line, for a little sooner rolling action.
Just a second option, but I've been hearing a lot of people talking about how much stronger the Jacked is than advertised.

Good Luck
