The Video's...
« on: November 29, 2009, 06:41:41 AM »
Anybody else have a problem with the recent ball video's on Hammer's website being way to unprofesional, less about information and ball motion video, and more about theatrics and "fun" voices? Personally, these videos seem like they've been thrown together in 10 minutes by someone who cares very little. I can't believe that these videos would encourage anyone to actually purchase these products. It seems like they're selling kids toys, not high priced bowling equipment. They're silly, seem unprofessional, and make Hammer look terrible. I personally, won't be thowing any Hammer products because of these, if they don't care enough about little things like these videos then why am I to assume that they care about the products they put out. Hammer was doing so well to. They're making themselves look stupid with these.

JMO....but the ONLY well done company vids are being done right now by Billy Orlikowski on Big B's website.  The rest are lacking in many ways as they do not show various bowlers styles and lane conditions.  You really can see a lot of difference between what Billy O and Robin O have done in the recent releases by Big B and I am NOT a Big B follower.

well when you have bowling balls named NASTY and JACKED its kinda hard to be professional all the time. they are kust having fun. bowling doesnt always have to be serious and business like

i agree. brunswick by far has the most informational videos. very well done. i even like how you can see his release and adjustments.

storm has some good videos that really show off their product line but dont tell you much about the lane condition if at all.

hammer as usual leaves me with a BIG ? over my head. is the ball meant for light, medium, medium-heavy, heavy. and it doesnt say anything about the pattern. for all i know it can be like buddies videos. every ball just hooking the entire lane.

I have no problem with the names, because let's face it, you've got to name them something, and every company has had their fair share of silly names. But you know what, as far as Hammer is concerned, (and ebonite international) bowling is a business. It's a shame that they're not treating it like they care.

The Nasty video is horrible. Comparing it to the video they made for the Venom it looks like they got a freshman in high school to put it together.

You got issues dude....

Obviously he has some resenment as he is no longer on staff.......but he does have a valid point that some of these videos are a joke. A 5th grader could make a better video than the nasty.

lol. yeah i was on staff for 2 years. trust me, this isn't about me being bitter. they had their reasons for letting me go and they were very understandable reasons. I still love Hammer products and will probably support them until i'm done bowling...but these videos make it tough. I will be the first to tell you that the jigsaw is one of my favorite balls of all time, so it's not just an ex-staff being bitter. I just expect more from them, and the videos are very dissapointing.

I don't really care how a video is cut and made, I just wish any bowling ball video that is being used they would find more people and do a six person comparison video. three righties one high, medium, and low rev player. the same thing for the left side. If your trying to market a ball, then you should market the ball to all styles.
