Title: BW Bite
Post by: Big Columbia on January 10, 2008, 04:31:12 AM
This ball is a freakin beast. I have been throwing Columbia Equipment only for the last 3 years and nothing I mean nothing was even close to this ball. When i first punched it up the ball wasnt that strong at all but once I put some games on it, the thing reaalllly started to move a lot. I'm sorry guys I am just amazed with this ball.

I threw mine for the first time last night and I was pleasantly surpised with the ball. I bowl on 2nd shift oil and I was able to use the ball for all 3 games. The ball gets very deep before it makes it's move to the pocket.

I had 3 half pocket shots that normally would leave a ringing 10 pin and each time the Bite demolished the rack.

I picked up mine today and will toss it in my Friday league. In past weeks they have changed the tye of oil as the house prepares to host the State Tournament. The new oil is thicker and carries down quite a bit. The BW Pearl, which had been awesome, has been touchy for the first game and a half. I would have gone to my 2000 grit BW Solid, but had sold it (dumb move) and I don't haven't had a good solid in my bag given this is tournament off season.

I am looking forward to the Bite on this condition. The plan is to keep it at 4000, since it is earlier than the BWS, which I had at 2000. So I hope to see similar length but probably more back end with the Bite as well as better results on carrydown.

Ironically, my Wed league, totally changed their shot last night. It's normally a 2nd shift shot which is darn dry (almost out-of-bounds) right of 10. This week out of nowhere we have a reverse block! I could have used the Bite and stayed in the thicker stuff. Unbelievable.

I really like the snap at the back end, though I'm sure it will give me a challenge with 7 pins because I'm a lefty.

I had only one 10 pin (righty) with the Bite last night. Although I did have three 7 pins.

I think I had like 5 9 pins in like 15 shots with it and I was moving 4 boards at a time. I couldn't get far enough left for this ball. I don't see how anyone with any hand can throw this on a house shot.

Good thing that I have no hand.
