Cherry Vibe drillings??
« on: August 22, 2007, 06:02:48 AM »
I've got a Cherry Vibe on the way. This looks to be a good choice for drier lanes, and should fit in well with my BW, BWP, and Anger.

I'm just curious to what drillings have been working well for those who have this ball so far. My Black Widow is drilled stacked with the pin over the ring finger. I'm thinking that layout would do well on the Cherry Vibe too. Any thoughts?

It is very aggressive.  Drill it weak or it will be too much for what you want it to do. I would think pin over middle finger or something.

Yes, more than you would think. Even though it will go long, it will make a very hard move to the pocket

The hard move "at" the pocket would be fine, as long as it's got enough length to make it there, lol.

my friend just won our singles roll off with the cherry vibe(beat me in finals, urrr) on the shark pattern with pin above fingers about 4 inches from pap...he played anywhere from 19-25 with the vibe on this pattern..it is stronger than people think..

Mine is drilled pin under the bridge w/ cg just below.  Was
hoping that this ball would cure some dry lane needs, but it's
so strong on the backend you really have to keep your speed up
for it to be a dry lane ball.  It gets good length, but the recovery
is almost unmatched.

i got it from yesterday, pin above the fingers.  This ball is a monster and the carry i get with it is amazing.

I thought it was a ball that wasn't strong so that's why i bought it but damn am i wrong and i'm not even a high rev player

Within the few days i gonna try it on a sportpattern to see what it will do on short cause that's the reason i wanted such ball

Mine is very "Black Widow like" in reaction, but on dry lanes. The hit and carry is tremendous and drives very hard. This is a top notch ball in my mind. Hammer's got it goin on right now.
