no mercy, anti lefty?
« on: November 08, 2006, 02:36:48 PM »
Is it just me or does this ball seem to be right handed.... I mean if the heart is supposed to be in your track(right handed) for the most power, thats like the mass bias in the strong position. that makes it some 6 3/4's to the right of the heart(mass bias) and Im sure that has been said ALOT. that would also put the cg in the center grip, or close. BUT if a lefty were to drill this ball and put lable on it, with the hart in the track, the "MB" is now way up in the 2 o clock position.... so to get the same effect a lefty would need the heart(assuming its lined up with the cg) up at the 10-11 o clock position, or thats what Im seeing anyways. that would leave for some funky statics afterwards no? Anyone help me understand this? Im sure a lefty can get a decent reaction out of the ball but it seems to me anyways that the reaction is not able to be duplicated to the left from the right...
Thanks

The MB is 90* from the hart in both directions. So it is fine for lefties.

This has already been discussed about a week ago.  You maybe able to find it if you scroll through this forum.  The Hammer guy explains it pretty well.

This ball can be used by both righty's and lefty's.  The MB does not end up where you think.  In fact, don't even confuse yourself with it.  Just go by the drill sheets and you will be good to go.

I have a NO MERCY.  I tried it out tonight.  The Lanes were very dry and had spotty carrydown all over the place.  I'm goign to try it out on my league on Sunday.  I will post a mini review Sunday night.

I did throw it a few times on these horrible lanes tonight.  I practice at night during the week at a local house.  Well they just got done with league play and the lanes were beat up bad.  So it's hard to really tell what this ball will do on oil.

What I did see tonight was good length and a huge back end.  I'm talking huge!  A lot more than the other balls I was using.

Mine is drilled with the #6 layout.  Pin is above the bridge and HART 1" left of thumb.  I'm a righty!

LOL, search a couple of topics back (made by me).  I have yet to understand the logic of it, but whatever, there are folks that claim the nature of the ball makes it so that the MB ends up on either side no matter how you lay it out.  I wanted to put the ball on a determinator last friday but my driller sold it before i got there.

Anyone out there have to a chance to determinate it yet?

Its simple, the drill instructions are for right handed players (as always).  If you have a relatively "normal" axis, drill opposite for left handed players.  I am lefty, and I currently use drilling #3, Factory Finish, and the ball is fantastic.

Trust the drill sheet with this ball, and enjoy the awesome power this ball gives you.

This ball continues so strong throughout the pin deck that a guy at league last night actually broke the pinsetter.  His bowling ball ended up BEHIND the machines!  Can you believe that?!?!?!
