Title: EBI fast releases
Post by: AlonzoHarris on February 28, 2018, 10:46:45 PM
Just noticed that Hammer alone has 22 balls out right now...

EBI seems to be on some fast release schedule.

ie. The Brunswick throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks model lol.  I don't mind a bit because steady stream of balls on sale usually.

Love the Brunswick family of brands but I agree the release schedule has me scratching my head here lately

Maybe we’re getting on the Asian “new ball a week” train?

Hammer seems to keep balls in their lineup for awhile, especially the upper mid because of the Widows. What's surprising is all 4 urethane or urethane-like balls are still in their lineup

Guess EBI wants to try and keep those Faball roots.  Aren't they the only brand providing urethane for the whole EBI family?

Pretty much. I haven't seen a Nitro or Turbo with a urethane cover in a long time from Ebonite, while the last C300 to come out was the U2 Classic. Nothing from Track.

Seems like all ball companies are pumping them out quickly.Since the rumour of the USBC maybe changing absorption rate of covers and lowering diff.I think its a money grab while they can.Or maybe its a USBC we will show you.Heck who can keep up at this rate.

Hammer should keep all of those Urethanes and make a play for Jesper to sign. He'll be at 20 titles by 2020.

I'd love to see Jesper win a title with an old AMF Sumo.  He might actually have problems keeping it on the lane.  Strong even today.

Gotta correct myself here. I forgot about the re-release of the Ebonite Urethane Gyro that came out in 2000/2001, shortly before the TPC Warrior and EBI buying Hammer from Faball.

Outside of that, no sign of a Gyro, Nitro, Turbo, or Thunderbolt in any urethane form since they were originally released.

EBI releases are typically every 3 months stateside and every month overseas (during league season I believe)
Probably next major releases would be at bowl expo
